Trade LS for a 95 Vette?

i don't know what happened to cars in the 80's did the designers start doing drugs, or quite for that matter, they look awful

No, Whats kinda cool is i bought my 80 looking like that, and found the matching 2010 in a small town of 100 people. My 80 i bought a couple hundred miles away.
 
Can't stand vettes especially the c4's.

Only LS powered vehicles I like are the GTO and G8. Vettes are way too cramped and have no luxury.
 
You don't by a Vette for luxury. I actually cant stand luxury myself. When im going 140 i want to feel like im going 140...not 20mph.

A muscle car doesn't have to ride like crap and be barebones.
 
People like what they like. I dont care if it has very little options. I love raw power. luxury just isn't for me. No ac? drive faster w windows down. No cruise? use your foot. wanna here music? Drive faster to hear the nice loud exhaust. Nothing against luxury..its just not what i like. and ride like crap? my ss has Billstien shocks ,Eibach pro kit, tubular control arms double adjustable panard, sub frame connectors, ect ect. Looove the ride. And Vette has one of the best rides for a muscle car. Mines the silver ss the other is a friends 98 ss

Look what forum you are on.

We all drive the LS because of power and luxury combined. If I wanted raw power I could take out the 72 chevelle for a cruise.
 
I don't consider the LS power. It does have some get up n go, i do admit. Yes i know were im at. That's why it went up for sale as soon as I traded for it. Its not for me but im on these forums looking up info. I always like to get as much info as i can on the car im driving. Like i said u like what u like. My lt1 gets better gas mileage than the LS and is a lot more fun to drive for me. I just couldn't pass up what i gave for the LS. Never know may keep it as my beater.
 
Well its not a sports car and no its not as powerful as some of the newer V8 luxury sedans but the original design is now 13 years old. The 2006's also have a bit more power especially when modded.

But it does have power for what is is plus tons of luxury...and it does not handle like a 4 door passenger sedan.

You could always do an engine swap and drop an LS1 in it.

I like power but i want both power and luxury in my vehicle. I would love an STS-V but its out of my price range.

I just will never like the combo of both i guess. If i find an LS cheap w a blown motor, as in a few hundred bucks, i might do a swap. but it wont be LS1 it will be LT1. I know, i know, you like ls1 better. But never been a big fan myself.
 
I seen that before i even got mine. He had it tuned here in Springfield mo by 417motorsports. its a sweet motor swap but still...not for me. Its like my fiends Denali he has a built 6.0 in it and can smoke the 22s that are on it...i dont care if it can grow wings and fly.. its not for me.

Have you seen Jeremy Clarkson's review on Top Gear? Seeing his lips back by his ears was quite the picture.


On a side note, the american Top Gear really sucks!
 
Jezza's review of the atom is one of my favorites! I can't wait for the new season to start up at the end of the month.

TGUSA does suck. The second season was better, so I'm still hoping they can create some better chemistry. But that Adam Ferrara needs to be replaced. He knows nothing about cars and isn't remotely humorous.

Guess we will agree to disagree.

I prefer comfort and power versus just power.
 
Its cool. Yea we like what we like. In fact id rather have a v6 5 speed ls over the v8 just for the fact im not an auto fan, and im not using it for power, just a daily. Or just swap shifters to make it autostick.

i agree with most of what you say. I have a mark viii and it is no longer luxury LOL just power. I love cruising with the sunroof open, windows down. exhaust screaming setting off car alarms. that sir is music to my ears.
