tranny boom

when I put the tranny in reverse it feels like it's going to come out of the car, it also fumbles in 1-2. could this be the shift selinoid? if so can anyone explain to me where it is and how to change it

Sorry to hear about your car.. For some reason I think you should also check Engine / Tranny mounts??? Hope its a relativly easy fix.

Mine does the same. I agree with the earlier post. A mechanic told me that it's most likely the mounts. The only thing is that when I put mine from gear back into park I hear a clink. Any input on this???

im going to say the shift solenoid. because i have the same year same engine and around the same relative mileage on mine and im dealing with the same thing right now.

Well first you want to check your motor and transmission mounts. The next thing to check would be the transmission fluid. Hopefully someone has changed it in the course of the cars life and all it needs is another change. Otherwise, this issue you're having could get expensive.
