trans gear selector error

anybody ever get this error or hear of it it made my check engine light come on every so often the info center on the dash reads transmission gear selector error

Yes I caught a glimpse of it yesterday. That infamous reading comes up like every 3 months for me. It has never caused my CEL to go on though.

maybe its something different setting the light off you know how these cars are does your transmission act any different

If the CEL came on then it probably set a code. Take it to the local parts store and have them read the codes and see what it comes up with.

No LS is immune from the mystery beep, and it hasn't ever seemed to hurt any of them.

i found the code p0705 transmission range sensor circut malfunction (prndlinput) i have no idea what the fvck that is maybe someone out there knows if not its to the dealer on monday

its been a while since i last looked at the trans, but if i recall there is a range selection sensor and that maybe out of adjustment or the electrical connector has somehow failed.

Take a look here, this might be a start.

Id say the range switch on the transmission is bad.

Mine did it while I was in SST, nothing happened, it just awas there, then was not, and it just kept like, going.
