Ok my professionally engine swapped 02 Lincoln LS v6 continues to be a total pain. After replacing all the crap that was broken by the installer, fixing several minor issues, I have the car running and driving, yay me. Car is shifting really hard and I suspect that even though he told me he filled the transmission I am certain that he never had the drain plug out. However I can not get the center plug out. I have spent two days soaking it with pb blaster. I have tapped it let the car idle to get the transmission warm. Still it is stuck , any thought on getting this plug loose? Is the whole plug available somewhere?

have you tried calling the dealership to see if they have the part?

Not yet holiday weekend you know? It doesnt show in the catalog though. I stopped before I stripped anything, unlike my pro installer (yes I am bitter and sarcastic). Hoping someone has a slick trick.

I cant imagine this part not being separately available...

looking at fordpartsgiant.com they do have a "plug" for the trans, but im not sure if its the right part or not...

the other plug on the pan is a torx. hold the plug with a wrench and use the apporiate torx bit on it.
