Democrats unveil bill to reinstate veterans fired in Trump workforce cuts ​


Senate Democrats are pushing a measure to reinstate veterans who were recently fired from the federal government without cause as part of President Trump’s sweeping moves to drastically reduce the federal workforce.

The mass firings, spearheaded by tech billionaire and White House adviser Elon Musk, have affected an estimated 6,000 veterans thus far. In total, veterans make up about 30 percent of the federal workforce, according to the office of Sen. Andy Kim (D-N.J.). -snip

There's nothing illegal about Trump turning the front of the White House into a Tesla showroom and posing to help acting President Musk sell his crappy cars. It is deplorable, disgusting, shameful and pathetic though. What Trumpers voted for.

Donald Trump’s administration has asked the supreme court to allow his attempt at curtailing birthright citizenship to proceed.

On Thursday, the justice department’s acting solicitor general, Sarah Harris, filed a request to the nation’s highest court, asking it to restrict orders issued by district judges in three states – Massachusetts, Maryland and Washington – that blocked Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship restrictions. -snip
