Trump once again inherited a stable US economy from his predecessor, so it's going to take some time for the damage he's doing to be felt really hard. He's angled the US towards a hard downward slope, so the shitshow is definitely coming.

On a funny note, Trump's already backpedaling (again) on his Apr 2nd "Liberation Day", where his 25% tariffs on all Canadian and Mexican goods tale effect, along with sweeping tariffs to European goods.
