Time to replace ignition coils and plugs on the daily, will hit 100k miles this week. Is the Motorcraft still the most reliable coils and plugs for the Marks? I remember hearing never buy aftermarket coils or I’ll be replacing after 20k miles. I’m thinking just play it safe and go Motorcraft. Thoughts?

I agree going with Motorcraft. You won't have on the stir of the moment electrical problems.
Definitely doing the Motorcraft on coils. Plugs I’m leaning towards Autolite platinum 764’s gapped at 0.48

I was in the same situation and figured I'd try something different with good research. I wrote this article on the plugs & coils I chose. Love the way the car runs. 25 mpg all day long running 75-85 steady interstate runs on 87 oct. 1-2nd shift at times kicks on traction spin light. No regrets what so ever.
