Turn Signal Flasher

I'm having a problem with my turn signals in my 94 Mark VIII. When i turn the blinker on, they dont flash, just stay solid. I checked the fuse and it was fine, It's not a bulb issue, because they all come on. From what i've read it sounds like it's the turn signal flasher that needs to be replaced.

Can anyone give me any input on if this sounds like the issue, and also where the signal flasher is located?

Is it a gen1 or gen2? I know the flasher on the gen1 is under the dash to the left of the steering column. It's a digital flasher and you can get them at Advance or AutoZone for about 10 bucks. Don't go to a stealership. They'll charge $100 bucks for one. The gen2 is probably in the same place. I had this problem about 5 years ago on my '96. Easy fix.
 
Thanks. I'm not sure what generation it is. And yeah, i already priced them out at advanced auto parts and napa. No way i'm going to a dealership if i dont have to.
 
There's something wrong with the nut holding the steering wheel

It sounds like a flasher to me. Also it seems you've met the guys. Don't take the abuse personal. It means their atleast paying attention.

Also you have a first gen 93-96. 2nd gen 97-98. First gen FTW.. That why they made them longer. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thaywood ....you were quoted $100.00???? Dang!! I hope that included install , a tank of gas and lunch at the Ritz!
The part number for the turn signal flasher for the 93-98 mark VIII is a F2UZ-13350-AA listing for 29.38 and costs LVC $17.19. I do not know what "stealership" you went to but you better stear clear of that one.

I was exaggerating a bit:D They actually quoted something like $79.95, I think. Still rediculous. But this was several years ago. I got one from Advance Auto for $9.99 at that time. :)

:pI'll have you know that I'm quite adept at the art of proper spelling practices. However, I, unlike some (apparently) am not perfect. I don't like to openly admit this, but I do...occasionally...make an error. It happens to the best of us. But we soldier on nonetheless. We pick up the pieces of our shattered egos and proceed forth with life as it continues uninterrupted by our lack of proofreading and...uh...yadda, yadda, and stuff...whatever...
 
There's a typo and then there's the habitual incorrect spelling of the word.

Matter of fact, every time you've typed the word here in LvC, you NEVER spelled it properly... ever.

Lesson is over. Make sure you don't make yourself look ridiculous by typing rediculous.

Typos are typos. I can live with typos. I just get annoyed when US Born individuals with English as their primary language can't spell simple words... more-so, words they seem to like using on a regular basis. And no, English is not my birth language. Had to learn it after I turned 13... I'm slow like that, I suppose.

Anyhoo (oops, hope I didn't misspell that:rolleyes:), if that's my only spelling error, I'm doin' fine (Uh oh, I may have opened a can of worms:)). And besides, I've seen worse. So it bothers me not that I spelled a word wrong. In fact, let's do it again just for $hits and giggles: rEdiculous!!! Ha. That felt good. Carry on...:D
