turn signal wiring

not sure... but if your going inside you can just do to the ignition... then you can run a toggle, just in case you DO want to shut them off...

Did you also wire to the ignition? Which wire did you go to? Everything i'm reading says the accessory is yellow/pink but that wire looks white/pink to me...

Where did you disconnect that green connector from?

The ignition... where I put the key in... which is probably wrong.. :) It's not been my day.. minutes ago a bird **** on me when I was putting the headlights back in... Where is the ignition harness that I need to tap into...

I haven't dug into this, and I don't have the wiring diagrams handy... However, I'm pretty sure that's not enough wires for the ignition switch. Are you sure that's not the connector to the PATS transceiver?

Yeah it is I think... crap... It's freaking cold outside.... 2 days ago it was 65 out a now 32... good ol Kentucky weather... but yeah everything i'm finding says there should be 6 wires for the ignition harness... gonna have to go back out in the cold and try to figure this out... all that is left to do is tap into this 12v swtiched wire and i'm done...

I think that the connector you are looking for is at the back of the switch, which is behind the lock cylinder. The PATS would be in front of the lock cylinder.

There are other places to pick up an accessory feed.

Thanks joegr... i'm definitely open to suggestions...

Well, there's switched power to the radio for one. (I am assuming that the lights that you are adding are less than 2A current. Otherwise, I wouldn't connect them directly to the ignition switch either.)

Im not sure... not great with amps and all that. This is the wiring for the halos... 4 of them... might go for the radio one... I know where it is at least. Lol

12v switched at the radio. And yes, that green connector is the for the pats ring around the ignition. The wires coming out of the ignition cylinder are large guage wires, maybe 6 or 8. Some are 12v constant andd some are switched. I dont have my push button start notes handy so I'm no help with colors.

No worries... I used the 12v switch from the radio... thanks everyone for your help... the halos look great. Ill take pics in the morning... to cold right now... after seeing the halos on the car I think I might forget the switchbacks and just use amber leds. Will still have issues with those though right? Definitely need to get led lights for my low beams though. I dont like the yellowish light behind the bright white halo...

Thanks again everyone for the tips!!!

Jason

We havent given up on switchbacks yet... we'll get to it at some point and let you know...

Through all my google searching I found a thread on here from like 2012 where someone got them working with the 2 relays for each side. Autozone here only had 1 relay in stock and its just to cold to be outside playing with wiring so I may come back to it also but probably not til spring... so before I buy them any suggestions on led 9006 bulbs for the low beams? I dont want to spend money on crappy ones just to have to rebuy them... do those need resistors at all or is that just to prevent the hyper flashing on turns?
