Hi guys, I just bought my first Mark VIII, it's a '93. I'm wondering what you guys use for tuning these vehicles. I see tweecer doesn't support our vehicle, what else is out there? I'm considering putting on a centrifugal supercharger, that's why I'm asking.

tweecer doesnt list our vehicle, but if you contact a tweecer vendor they can sell you what you need for your mark.

i was about to buy a tweecer myself, until other money needs came up,i figure eventually i will get one.but like i said, the vendor i spoke to said my mark 8 was no problem for tweecer.

happy boosting

Find the processor code on the tag on the computer and email it to them, they can confirm if the tweecer will work. Another similar product would be http://www.eec-tuner.com/ - again, need to check the processor code. I know at least one MarkVIII that's runnin a tweecer, but the tweecer RT was as of yet incompatible with it.

Are there any specific vendors that are Mark friendly? Also, where can I find the computer so I can get the code?

Dunno if anyone is Mark friendly. The PCM is the silver box near the parking brake but towards the passengers side. There's a kick panel (8 or 10mm bolts, 2 of them) you'll have to remove to see the code.

"The TwEECer is an advanced tuning device, providing you the key that opens the door to the Ford EEC (Electronic Engine Control). With the opening of this door you will be able to control all aspects of spark advance, fuel delivery, air metering, Transmission shift points, converter lock/unlock, shift pressure. Emissions equipment disabling and elimination of trouble codes."

http://www.tweecer.com/ (Keep in mind not all of those advertized features are going to be compatible with EEC-IV...)

anyone running this? any luck with it? more info please! - since they don't list tweecer R/T for our cars on there website. They list the Mark 7 and 96-98 cobra but no mark 8.

tweecer works for the DZA1 pcm. i emailed them.

im willing to bet it will work with all 1Gs and most likely 2Gs too.

cool i have the dza1, but my chip seems to be doing all that I require. Anyone run this after running a tuner chip/tune? Likes/ Dislikes?

Torrie at Fast Parts Network has done all my tuning, very familiar with marks. He is also an SCT dealer, so those are the products of choice for me.

Before I put in my chip I talked with them. They are expecting a new more user friendly program either this fall or next year. After looking at what was required I ruled the TwEEcer out for me.

Didn't want to Phuck the car up, and it was suggested that unless you really know what your are doing you could.

Fast Parts Network has a nice multi-program chip that does a nice job if you are looking for more options than a one-program chip that works on a Gen 1
