So I am guessing that the Engine air bleed is just further to the left on my 2004 LS than in the diagrams ? I am surprised there is not a hose coming out right at that bleed though.

That bleed does not do anything, it does not seem to open. Does that hose need to be replaced?

thanks

...are you bleeding with the car off?? looks like you're missing something there!

righty tighty lefty loosy? Are you turning it the right way? It may be possible that it is seized up. Maybe try some WD40 or similar?

that screw is 100% plastic. wd40 will not help. you need to stick a flatblade in there, and gently twist left. if it won't move after about 10 ft lbs, you shouldn't force it as it will snap and crumble and cause much worse things to happen... good luck finding a new screw.

Why wouldn't a lubricant specifically designed to loosen stuck objects not be helpful?

The Five Basic Functions of Water Displacement, 40th formula:

CLEANS: WD-40 gets under dirt, grime and grease to clean. It also dissolves adhesives, allowing easy removal of labels, tape, stickers, and excess bonding material.

DISPLACES MOISTURE: Because WD-40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits.

PENETRATES: WD-40 loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen or rusted metal parts.

LUBRICATES: WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and hold firmly to all moving parts.

PROTECTS: WD-40 protects metal surfaces with corrosion-resistant ingredients to shield against moisture and other corrosive elements.

Hmm Stumpy, it just spun freely.. Does this mean it was already cracked in there?

its not supposed to spin.
you're gunna need a new hose (and flush)

not kidding.
