Sorry ... a little off LS topic,

Pioneer AVH-X2800BS

trying to get it to play MP4 video properly.

am having trouble where it only begins to see it on the USB thumbdrive when I'm all the way down to 360p converted from youTube videos
BUT it is rather grainy and has lost all it's high def quality.

What's the trick to getting good quality downloaded youTube videos to play from USB to these video head units ???

My first rodeo ...

Any help would be appreciated, am reading on Google and such.

working with this video as a sampler,

... and this grabber,

Format: .mp4

Video Quality: 360p <-- is where it only begins to recognize it on the thumbdrive, can't be right!

BUT is grainy as something coming off a commodore 64

~ There is more to this video playback isn't there ? What gives, what's the secret ? Programs ?

Ah, very clever, thank you ...

I'm here to assist whenever you need. I'm glad you found my link helpful. :p

With nothing better to do i googled reviews on that unit ..

" Great double din for my Honda Pilot. Works great. Only problem I have is getting it to play videos from my USB which is kind of the reason I bough it. I even got a large capacity USB just for it. No matter what format or resolution I try I just get an error. I worked around it by writing .divx data to blank dvds.
Otherwise, great unit. "

Rig, I suspect you don't work nearly as much as you claim to do in your garage

Huh? Why is that Frank, what do you mean by this?

Not sure what that had to do with me trying to figure out how to retain good quality video on USB playback

It seems like you want a lot of "me" time in the garage with that video as your "sampler"

Ok put the glue away! I don't want 'you' in my garage sampling my videos.

The idea was USB scantily clad female videos on my new headunit in the 09 Silverado. (going doing the road)

As long as it's handfree :)
