wanna go lower

They look crappy to me.

Anyone wanna take the plunge??

I don't get it... What's so funny about these?

Sometimes they seize up, ride like crap most of the time but overall get the job done if you are just trying to go low. If I wasn't concerned about the ride I would try them but I like they way the car feel now, thats why I will be going with Eibachs and sport struts. Wish eibachs were lower but don't wanna lose the ride.

Eibachs go pretty damn low...any lower is really impractical unless you like curb rashing and tearing up your bumpers and skirts.

Really? So I guess they go lower than the 1"? Either way I have been on plenty of different springs and never been unsatisfied with Eibachs.

how do these work? do they slip over the strut?

Slip over struts and adjust, plain and simple now if you go really low I couldn't tell you how long struts will last.

Id take the plunge if I knew more about setting them up.......

All you do is turn the locking nuts up or down to raise or lower the car, make sure ground is leveled then measure from fender down to make sure both sides even.

i bought somethin similar for my sentra 4 yrs ago. never got to put them on cuz they didnt fit over the cap??? of the actual strut. the inner diameter of the adjustable part was the same as the cap

I know how they work, just not how they go on the stock strut...

Looking at this pic, the top portion were the coil is comes off and these slide in place of the coil correct?

I'm sitting here getting ready to order, however i'm waiting to here a little more opinion before I pull the trigger,,,,,,

what are the legit worry's with others about ordering this?

I searched other forums and found tons of threads on ebay kits like this. From that I read everything from uncontrollable bouncing to broken suspension due to poor spring rating.

However I did start to think couldn't one use these sleeves with eibachs to go lower then what they already do?

so I contacted the seller to see what the springs rating are, here is what i got back:

spring rate is 250f 225r

How does this compare to Eibachs spring rating or any lowering spring for that matter?

Those are actually pretty soft spring rates, most coils are 400+

Im guessing the ride would be very bouncy and not firm at all.

Do not want.

Well it all depends, some are actually bouncier with stiffer rates. Coils with high rates are stiff and you feel everything, with these being softer it might somewhat maintain factory ride depending on shocks.

Depends on where you live. I love my springtechs, but I do have to be VERY careful. Never bottomed out on bumpers, but have scraped undercarriage.

I have the Eibach Springs pro-kit. Once the springs settled. My LS dropped 1.75 inches. Pretty happy with them. Speed bumps are not my friend. I am real careful parking near parking blocks and curbs. I use to drag my exhaust tips backing out of my driveway. New exhaust and tips solved that problem.
