My car's finish was looking pretty dull and with as much driving as i do there was alot of crap stuck in the clearcoat and almost the entire car had embedded water marks. I tried several different things that i had, some good Meguirs products, rubbing compound....everything in my arsenal. Nothing worked and it actually looked alittle worse. I bought a Turtle Wax ICE Clay Kit, it comes with a clay bar and lubricant and a bottle of Liquid Clay polish. All i got to say is SHAMWOW!!!! Looks like a different car. All the embedded nasties are gone, all the water marks are gone and it has a nice deep glossy shine. I was walking thru a parking lot and from a distance i didnt even think it was my car. Looks incredible. Now i know everyone has there own favorite product but i HIGHLY recommend trying out this ICE Clay Kit. Great stuff.

I recently just used Clay Magic's Kit (Blue clay)

It worked awesome. I love the feel of the paint now! However I wish it included more lube as I used half the bar of clay, and the whole bottle of lube.

Liquid clay:lol:

I dont know if your making a joke of the product or its name but that sh!t WORKS. Its pretty cool because inside the bottle the liquid separates into three layers. The clay portion settles to the bottom, the middle is a darker blue and the top a lighter blue. Once you shake it up it all become a uniform color and it works amazing. It works different beacuse you rub it on like a normal wax/polish but then you wash it off once dryed and hazed instead of buffing it off. My finish honestly sucked and i was embarresed about it. Looks brand new now. I think the liquid clay polish makes the clay bar work 100x better than just washing and clay bar. Like i said, everyone has their choice of products but i'm completely sold based on the results.

Im making fun of both. It dont work. Read on what a clay bar does and how it does it. It really does suck and its a b*tch to get the haze off.

Use it if you want to but I would rather test my luck with silly putty and distilled water.

Thoughts on the Meguiar's clay bar? I've had one in my trunk waiting for me to get the interest to do it since last summer.

How can you say it dont work?? My finish was terrible, i used everything i had including some expensive products and alot of sweat and sore arms. I bought this product and the car looks like it did when i bought it. If every other product i had in my garage did nothing and this stuff did...then i'd have to say with 100% confidence it works. If you have your own secret weapon to clean your car then great, i found something that works for me. I wish i would have thought to take some before and after pics. Maybe then you'd believe me, then again maybe that still wouldnt be good enough for you. Its ok.

Megs>Liquid "clay"

I can say it dont work cause I tried it. Had a friend that gave it a shot and so on and so on. Its totally defeating the purpose of a clay bar. It may make your car shine but its not puling crap off of it and if it didnt haze for you than you didnt use it properly.

I dont have a secret arsenal either. I use what has good reviews and is known to work, thats it.

7 out of 10 people complain about Turtle wax and its Ice line. If the reviews and the science behind a true claybar aint good enough for you,... well then thats a damn shame.

This stuff is basically just a filler. It'll wear off sooner or later, not worth it IMHO.

I picked up a bottle a long time ago from some TurtleWax 2/1 deal at pep boys but haven't used it yet. Your conflicting reviews convince me to finally try it!

Exactly considering the entire point is to pull it off rather than fill in the space between it.

EDIT: Im not trying to offend you but Im just letting you know. You are being mislead by this product.

Megs>Liquid "clay"
Hey, one of the products i first used was my Meguiars stuff. I'm not saying Megs is no good but it didnt help. And the "liquid clay" is just a name, its basically a good cleaner to use before you use the clay bar. You still have to wax after using the clay bar. Plus anyone who has used a clay bar correctly knows damn well how good it works. Example: the bottle of polish on the untreated side would sit on the hood and stay put, the clayed side it slides right off, hell even a towel slides right off the hood after being clayed. Running your hand across the car after its been clayed there is no doubt there is a bunch of crap removed, its literally like glass its so smooth, not to mention the water spots that are gone. I tried everything to get rid of them. Bottomline is my cars looks 50x better than it did a week ago. If i'm in the 30% that was happy with the ICE line then so be it. I mean its not like i work for them and am looking for sales. My car went from crappy to shiny, thats all i car about.

Also wanted to note that i am not someone who falls for the hype of a product. For the longest time i used KIT brand wax. Of all the superior brands and products the KIT wax worked waaaay better.

If you clay the car after using this liquid clay its pointless to use the liquid clay.

It will pull the fill from the liquid clay off as well as what the liquid clay should have.

If your happy with the results then yes thats all that maters but this is one product I must use the phrase "dont count your chickens before they hatch".

I think the liquid clay and its purpose its being confused. Its basically a car wash/cleaner, you put it on and then wash it off. Its not putting down any form of "fill" or protectant. Its cleaning the surface to prepare it for the clay bar, its used instead of your typical car wash concentrate. The whole purpose of any of this stuff is to get your clearcoat finish as clean as possible before waxing. Putting wax on a crappy clearcoat is pointless.

One other thing....the black plastic panels that are between the front/rear doors (where people put horrible chrome) was cleaned tremendously. Those always seem to attract junk.

I'm glad you got results from it. I'm too much of a snob to use turtle wax. I've tried the ICE line. Don't like it. I have the liquid claybar. Well, I had it. I gave it away, brand new bottle.

The ICE "polish" is terrible too. Well, it looks okay, shiny, but dust clings to it like a magnet. And it lasts until you wash your car next, or is gone after a good rain.

If you want something GREAT with fillers, get Bilt Hamber Auto Balm. Now that isht works. And looks amazing. And is DURABLE.

But nonetheless, glad to see you are trying to take care of your car. I hate seeing the 2 other LS's around my town. They never wash them.

I think the Eagle one nano wax is amazing stuff. They make a clear but I think the liquid in a pump bottle is best. It really does what it says. It hides small scratches and gives an incredible shine. It is easy to get off using a good micro fiber towel. It makes it slick as fecal matter :>) I bet the censor want catch that one

For years Turtle Wax has been known as the bottom of the barrel. But lately I have seen Turtle Wax Ice Clay endorsed not only by enthusiasts on this site, but other fanatics as well. There must be something to it. And $20 bucks won't break the bank to try it out.

I havent seen enthusiast here or anywhere endorse it.I have seen even worse comments made on the ICE line ( latest line of products ) than its other products do to the yellowing some say will occur.

Im not saying its a polish or a wax but it does indeed have additives/fillers that help leave behind that extra smooth shine. A big reason they wanted to try it out in liquid form. One thing I can do without when it comes to the purpose of a clay bar.

Dust and pollen clings to the ICE lines QD as well.

Again, no offense meant and like KD said just give it time as well as some venturing into other products and you will see how your being mislead.

I currently have and use 2 brands, I used Turtle Ice Wax once. It works fast and is good for a top coat or when you dont have time to detail all day long. it looks good, but does have that synthetic CLING factor. I also am using Mothers cali gold Carnauma Cleaner wax. I had some hard water spots that were pretty noticeable on a beige car and it did work pretty good for removing the scum and grime. Doesnt do much for scratches nor does the ICE wax but with out buffing there isnt much that does. I put the Mothers on before xmas and its still beading great and looks great. Also used it on my Old mans True Blue 350 Crew about a month ago or so and it really took the oxidation off. There was alot of :q:q:q:quff off the hood and roof. It looked damn good for an 8 year old BLUE non garaged pickup. its clean to begin with but it was nice. I like the mothers alot. I believe clay bars work as I worked in a hotrod shop but I wouldnt rely on them to fix it all. As for dirt nubs or grime, they are great. Work really good with miguires Quick Detailer also.

o i forgot one. AS for metal polish. Try Eagle One NeverDull wadding polish. I used it on my 49 f-1 s.s trim. Holy crap. Stuff works great and its only by hand. i cant imagine if you used a polisher/buffer to take it off. excellent and lasts forever.

I had GREAT results from my Meguiar's clay bar. End of last summer I spent about 6hrs on a Saturday cleaning my car and the result was amazing. Hand wash x2, towel dry, clay bar, a little touch up paint, and wax. Best shine and smooth feel the car has ever had.

I will use the 2nd bar that came with my kit this summer.
