Wawful's Build Thread

anyone have a blower for sale for cheap? i'm going to freshen up the tranny cooler and lines and i'm already planning oil system mods so it would be good to go haha...... only joking... or am I?

They gave me more than 1900 bucks for my Buick accident, so I have some money put aside to spend on this thing.

Sell that short block its a 100% bad idea to try to use it.
Pull the engine put it on a stand and check that rod on hole number 2, and or have someone else look at the engine in the car.
Make dam sure its a rod knock, I would be surprised if it is @ 111k Miles.
These sewing machines make a lot of noise.
Fix what you have.
Don't do this....

Make sure you 93 has a one piece drive shaft "it should".
4.10 gears
Tune "chip"

And welcome to LVC btw, I don't mean to be brash, but its better us yell "stay the hell out of the pool!" before you go diving in the jellyfish pond. It may be cool at first, but it'll sting later
Reminds me of Tommy....lol

DON'T STEP IN THAT DOG CHIT!"

I just checked www.car-part.com and there are several engines near you that will be cheaper to swap in, in the long run.

On a personal note, you live very close to a good friend of mine, do you know any one with the name Krammer?

I'll get this stuff posted up in a few different markets then. Looks like I'll be doing more saving and stockpiling, which isn't too bad I guess. Thanks for the help guys! anyone wanna buy some parts!?

Which Wide-band+software would you guys recommend. I'm interested in at least data-logging if not future tuning and want to install the sensor and wiring while I have this thing apart. Should I just spring for an ebay universal kit or is there a name brand that you guys like for our cars?

Thanks in advance, Wawful.

Likely the "universal" ebay wide-band kit is China junk. You want a high quality sensor. I know many that use Innovate MotorSports products but I use a Zeitronix unit.

For data logging & tuning hardware/software, I use SCT products. There are others, but the only one I think comes close to SCT is Moates QuarterHorse provided you can get the code for your PCM.

Another great wideband setup to look at is the NGK AFX with the NTK sensor. I also use the SCT PRP with XCal2's for each vehicle to datalog and tune.

I like the look of the ngk set - up but I'll have to wait on the software and the handheld I didn't realize they were that expensive
