Well I went shopping today. I test drove the G35 coupe and sedan with the 6spd MT. All I can say is :q wow. I have been shopping the LS V8 and I am so uncertain about what I want now.

I did have a very good shopping experience with the Infiniti fols and the Lincoln Dealers I went to were a bunch of ass clowns. My wife called up to one dealer, stadium lincoln, to see if she could catch me there to tell me to just buy the lincoln.

The sales manager actually took her call but did not know it was my wife and he starts going on this diatribe about how I left and that my wife wuld let me buy the car. I guess he thought it was my bank calling back looking for me or something. My wife gave him the opportunity to blow it off like he was kidding but he never went down that path.

I told those guys exactally what I was going to do which was come home and go over the two deals with my wife. At this point I was determined to buy the car. A vivid red with black interior V8 sport LSE with moonroof. Now they got squat and I am so sick of dealing with piss poor Lincoln customer service that I am bent on buying the Infiniti G35 coupe or sedan.

Those guys were completely above the board about the price and how far they could cut it. I spoke to a delaer in another town before I headed out and they were just as upfront. In fact, I discussed the prices on the G35s that I got from the dealer before I drove over and said that they would love to have my business but they could not beat the price becasue it was invoice.

Further, the folks at the infiniti shop did not throw a fit when i left to shop the LS one last time or talk :q to my wife like the lincln folks did and she did speak with the fols at Infiniti of Tampa.

All these guys had to do is wait for me to come back and buy the car. No finance fussing, no BS no nothing!

Well, let me tell you that it isn't wise to buy big purchases on emotions. You'll hate yourself for that in the long run. This is regardless if you buy the Lincoln or the Infiniti. You have to learn to delay pleasure in situations like that.

I'd hate to see you buy the Infiniti but I understand. Sometimes you have to smell other roses. The G35 coupe is a nice ride and there is a ton of aftermarket parts for it. Either way you decide enjoy it!

I totally agree with that. I bought my LS on emotion and regret it every day. I absolutely love anything and everything about the car, but I paid to much and bought from the wrong dealer because of emotions *long story*. Never again will I do that. Take your time man shop around, talk to OTHER dealers and let them know that your serious and that if they don't want to treat you right then they are out of a solid buyer.

Well I am bit upset but not emotioal about the ordeal. I love my lincoln and I thoroughly enjoy talking with all you on LvC. I d have an attachment to this car as a result of helping and being helped here. Tonights topic at my house has been focused on this place and howmuch I will miss it.

This purchase has been well thought out and purposely planned. Iam just at my wits end with the abhorent customer service around here at the Licoln dealers.

I have to add that I am in love that with the G35 Sedan 6spd MT! Honestly Ihavebeen shopping for one of the old V6 Manual LS' but no one has them.

I have been talking to Lincoln dealers from Tampa, Orlando, Jax, and down to Miami. I have been taking my time. It has onlybeen recently that Idecided to even look at the G35s. I did toss around the notio of the GTO but never really took it seriously.

I have been a long time LS owner and have been buying cars for long time; trust me when I tell you guys that this has been a well planned operation.

I have notes and logs on calls. This is all business and I could careless about who I buy it from. My sole concern is the level of custome service.

I am a 15 year vet of the IT business. You'd think I am an A type but I know that my business is all about service and I consider myself customer service centric to a fault. I am my worst critic when it comes to this issue. These folks absolutely miss the boat when it comes to sail the high sea of custome service.

-end rant transmission.

I am not unloading on you guys so please do not take this way.

I got an email today from a fellow LvC in Atlanta that just got the run around up at his dealer of a repair that they shouldhave AWA'd but he had to pay for the service and he was barley over 50k miles. Now he is going to try FoMoCo customer service to see if they willhelp cover it. There was absolutely nothing he or any othe owner could do to prevent this repair. The coponent they used when building the engine was simply a POS.

Any way Ihope this turn out differnt than I think it will. Thanks for being my therapist for the night. :D

Have you tryed Margate Lincoln my friends and I have allways had good experinces with them esp when it comes to customer service. My friend just brought his murader in to get a window switch fixed and they ended up replacet both mufflers that where blaintly damaged when he was rearended a few days earlyer.

Thanks for dropping in. I have solicited for quotes but their inventory does not meet my criteria. There is one in the miami that I am going to call about tomorrow. My wife has been speakig with a lady at te pompano dealership and the sales ladythere has been very curteous. She gave my wife her home number during the first converation they had today.

My wife started calling other dealerships that spoke with after being mishandled by standium here in tampa. She really wants me to stay with this product because she know that I have an affinity for it.

If I come down I will try to set some time aside to hook up with you guys. Maybe I should bring you all to the dealership to try start up a relationshipfor you all down there.

What s the local paper there in your area called? I might try to pick one up tomorrow at the book store to peruse the ads.

Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald are the two big papers down here. Have you checked there Hollywood and pines dealerships? I've only had dealings with Holman's 's Margate dealer but they have treated me so well I'd like for them to get the sale.

Noah, buy me! I'll be good to you. Promise.

I would have bought a G35 except all the dealers kept jerking me around. None had a manual without Bose or aero package. OK I'll send $1800 for options I don't want, but none of them had a car with heated seats. So I tried to order a car the way I wanted it. None of the dealers were willing to take an order. So I got a manual LS V6 with heated seats. Not as fast or as sporty but I've been pleased.

Buy the car you want, from a dealer your comfortable with.

What's the spread in price between the two? Cash vs Cash.

It is very close. I can get the g35 coup for about 32 and the LS I have cosidered is 34. the g35 has a 4/60 warranty and the ls has the 4/50. Both are similarly equipped but the LS has the cooled seated which couldbe helpful in the hot florida sun.

I ran into the same issues when shopping for my LS but I ended up settling on a v6 auto. I want the v6 manual.

I'll check em out today as well. It has been tough locating all the dealers becasue the lincoln website lists the nearby dealers by zip code. I only know a handful of zis andhave been working those. Thanks for the lead.

ahh yeah, I have spoken with the margat folks. Dian Saint is the internet sales director there. They were not holding a car that fit my criteria.

I assume they are at family member cost less rebate. How much is the rebate in Fla. Rebates vary between $1000 and $2500 depending upon sales zone.Could always do a dealer locate for the exact model and options. Somebody should be willing to give one away just to get just to get an extra 2006 unit.

So you got the LS?

nah. I am leaning more to the G35 right now. I might get the coupe sedan is second choice and the LS is 3rd. I am buying this week. Ihave just had too hard of a tie finding the LS I want and despite the great price they are offering it only means that the car is going to sink like a brick in value over the next year or two.

Lincoln should just sticker the LS from the 28 to 39k and just stop fooling with the rebates and crap.

the v8 rebate here in Fl is 3500 which is great. I am probably being a bit too obstinate when it comes to sacrificing a little on what I want in a car but I settled when I bought my last LS and regret doing so.

I can get the G35 Sedan with verything I want at 32 +tax and tag xfer. The Ls I want ha crap I do not want and it is coming in at 35 +TT&T.

Hey Noah. Do you have to buy now? If you are not getting an LS, then you don't have to beat the rebate or employee pricing time.

I was thinking about test driving a Hemi Charger today. Decided not to though, as it was in the color I wanted and everything. :) I believe the sticker on it was $32k. I saw it last night after someone got done test driving it. He seemed incredibly impressed with it, but said he didn't need that much power and is going to buy an SXT version. I think I do need that power though. :) I sat in it, but it was closing time.

I'm just trying to stall you...obviously. :)

Not a bad choice if you can get past the low rent interior, though the engine makes it easy to like.

Tell you the truth to I would more rather go with the G35 too. I must say its a V-6 pushing out 280 or 298 DAMN now I want to test drive one of those. Even though my Mark is good enough.

I should drive up and check the charger out. Who knows maybe I am Dodge man. I am in no rush to buy but I would like to get beyond this as son as I could. I hate unfinished business.

I serached autotrader last night and cars.com and I did find some pretty good deals on 04 LS LSE 's and CTS-V. If I end upwith a Lincoln and a caddi at te end of this ordeal I am going t need treatment.

Plus I already spend a lot of time in the LS forum here; I wont have any time to drive either if the trend were to continue. YIKES!

I could end up being torture like you and have 2 LS' stabled. We could start our own club OOMLSTNMT, short for owner of multiple LSs that need mental therapy :D.
