Went to the track

Well I went out to Firebird Raceway here in AZ last night. This track is natorious for having major traction issues, but it seemed to be much worse last night than it has been before. Granted we have been getting some rain and they were an hour late opening the lanes cause they were prepping them.

Only mods are drop and Flowmaster mufflers.


Here's was my first run of the night.

A lot of the guys I talked to that night said they were getting really irritated at how poor the track was. I really want to go to a different track but the next closes is about 2 hours away. Maybe someday.

It's all in the first 60 ft. How much do you think your time will improve from better prep? Are you actually spinning off the line? just curious

Did you use SST shifting or just let the automatic do its thing?

I did D4 for my best run. I tried SST for one run and it wasn't much better. Every run I made was slower than the one before, I'm guessing due to track conditions.
