What a deal: $80 for a set of OEM Zeus wheels (pics)

I wouldnt go to wide on those PA roads. Remember: wider the tire the more tarstrips and surface imperfections for that wide contact patch to pick up..and transmit to the chassis. Sure, the "look" is cool...but that ride quality, heavier unsprung weight, etc is something you are going to have to live with every day

im not too worried about that...knowing myself ill probably sell them before any of that happens lol

More contact patch=More traction.. I'll take that any day.. I could care less if the people behind me are b!tching because I slow down for every pot hole..

Now I'll be forced to get the WilWood setup on the back so I can run 285s.. Damn it! :D

finally someone that shares my thoughts lol

these crappy a$$ tires i have now have really made me appreciate traction. Its probably my number 1 requirement for my next set of tires.

For what I paid for my General's compared to the traction I got, I think I got a good deal.. But they are on the cheaper side and a b!tch to keep balanced

02v8sport's ls is freaken sweet.

yup yup, i went thru almost all his threads looking for info on the Zeus wheels lol so thats why i know :shifty:

His acura tl was really sick too! It was white and so clean

Damn man, deal of the decade! I just bought a set of these this past winter but mine were chrome and it was pealing off. They came with Pirelli PZero Rosso tires which are $1300 for the set on tirerack.com with about half tread left of them and I gave $300 for wheels and tires. I have 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 tires on my car with Eibach lowering springs and zero rubbing issues even with 4 people in the car. Oh I got mine powder coated though since the chrome with pealing off and loving these wheels. I get complimets all day long. Enjoy!

so for the guys that have these what size tires do you recommend? Should i go with stock jag sizes? 245/40 and 275/35?

also i was looking at cheap tires (low budget :() and found some Nankang NS-IIs for around $400? anyone have experience with these? im looking for really good grip and maybe a comfortable ride.

finally, do i need the spacers in the front? are there benefits to having them?

The tire size will work, and 275's will definately "walk" more with grooves in the road. I went from 245's to 255's all around and can feel the car "walk" more, but it still rides well and I can tolerate it. Nankangs are hit or miss, but being on a budget you get what you can until you can afford the better stuff. Spacers=yes! The only benefit to having them is looks. The look of those wheels with spacers is worth it to me.
