So i recently had my oil pan gasket replaced since it was leaking oil. My car feels rough at times though and I assume that the oil might have damaged some parts internally. The car tends to jerk just about every time i drive it now and sometimes i have to accelerate quickly to avoid the jerking but it still does occur. Could the oil have gotten into a part and damaged it? I'm trying to figure out the source of the problem without having to deal with a dealership. No CEL has come on.
My car is an 04 lincoln ls v6 with about 72200 miles on it.

No. But they might have disturbed something under the hood when they where supporting the engine. Most likely you have a COP thats going out and has not tripped the CEL yet.

Could be coils. Could be a failing spark plug. Could be fuel delivery. Could be a vaccuum leak. I'd check for a vacuum leak first.

What did that set you back if you don't mind me asking (the gasket replacement)?

Well I had purchased an extended warranty when i bought the car used.
It was only a fifty dollar deductible since they covered it. If they hadn't covered it, I believed it would have been about $745 or so
and thanks for the recommendations...I'll look at the vacuum leak later on today or tomorrow. I'll check the tech articles to see if i can find where it's at as idk too much about the under the hood parts of a car.
