What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

blew a ac line the other day, and like everything else on this car its obsolete as hell. its that stupid curly-q one right in front of the compressor, so I'm having mine fixed. I'm having the metal part and that small muffler removed since the bottom of it rotted out, and just having a loop of hose installed and ill see how that works.
oh and i think one of my 2 air compressors are dyeing, but not to worry i got a box of spares in the basement ;)

Was gonna drive it to get oil and filter but it started raining hours earlier than predicted so I am resizing photos.

Lol, and you're in Illinois! Imagine what it's like down here! Lol.

I don't know what it was like down there last night, up here it was 93 @ 8pm and 102 during the day.

x2. Mines rusted in the same spot, only a matter of time. :(

:hump:

Over the last few days I've been playing with the hood for some customization...lots of pics posted in "Hood scoop on a 96 Mark VIII" thread..check em out!

That is beautiful under there. If I was into modding, I would want mine to be just like that. Although some color could be added, I think the all grey/black look under the hood looks nice as is. Clean under there too.

Followed this tutorial to try to repair my drivers power seat that sometimes goes forward, 2% of the time goes in reverse. http://www.lincolnsofdistinction.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=17509&highlight=seat

It will go in reverse now about 8% of the time, but it makes a click and a sound like its still trying to go backwards but the motor or something doesn't have enough oomph to physically move the seat. Before it was just a click.

DAMN POWER SEATS!!

Any cars have direct fit manual seats to a 93 Mark VIII? So tired of this. Passenger seat is slow too and will surely die one of these days.

Waxed it, wasn't worth the effort though. I really gotta take a whole day and do it right.

Then the whole thing is gonna be up kinda high lol. I have seen Marks set at a higher stance but I don't know if you bought the 1.5 lowered kit or just the normal height kit. I guess I was just assuming you got the 1.5 lowered kit.

Yes I did purchased the 1.5" lower kit , that picture was taken the day I finished the install . It did drop some after I drove around, but the back could use a little bump up.

I too have the 1.5" kit and with the prothane isolators and the rear sits about .5-.75" higher then the fronts. The regular crappy isolators (Monroe?) I originally used flattened out pretty quick.
Iirc, in the stock rim/tire size the fronts measured out to 26" and the rear w/ 3/4 tank of gas was about 26.6". Def doesn't make it sag anymore and still has the lowered look.

Ok, I gotchya now. Everything just hasn't had time to settle down yet. Have you heard any good news yet on the other deal from the wreck? It's been a while, well, over a year.
