Also, like Laser mentioned waaaaay up there, you're gonna need a sub amp with the low pass filter(s) so that you don't have any high pitch sounds trying to come through the sub. Mono block would be the way to go. I don't know what you're wanting to invest into all this. It can be done cheap and give you some boom in the trunk but a few hundred can be put into it and sound a lot better.

Thanks for the input NO LIMIT , Laser and the otherguys helped alot also im not tryin to invest much into the system and besides its something my son wants me to do,But with the cars i had in the past i allways had it professionally done. So with this being said you can say ima dumba$$ when it come down to hooking up a soundsystem....lol if anything else comes to mind or any other tips plz let me know. Ill let you know how it goes but im sure ill have Questions im gonna ask like now can i add a Toggle switch either on the remote or positive wire cuz i live ina quiet area and in the mornings driving to work i dont want my subs to be thumping while listening to the radio and i know theirs a volume control on the amp but do they sell something that you can control the the volume or a switch from inside the car???...thx

Well, we really don't know what amp you're getting yet but yes, some do have a bass knob that mounts inside the car. I know Kicker has one and Rockford Fosgate and probably JL Audio. You can also put a toggle on the remote wire. It's not going to hurt anything. The amps I'm referring to have what's called "bass knobs" so really you would be cutting the bass down, maybe to a point of being able to deal with it.

I had the Kicker ZX series and I know you can get a bass knob with them and some even come with them. I think a ZX750.1 would be more than enough for you.

yes a lot of amps do come with(or can be ordered) a remote level adjustment knob that can be mounted anywhere in the front so you can independently control the sound level.

also agreed that the ZX750.1 are pretty good and make a lot of clean power, and comes with the knob

OK gotcha and Thanks guys for the advice. I'll let you know how it goes with the progress But im sure ima have more Questions inthe near future.

Yes, that's if you want the amp to come on when you turn on the car but if you want the radio to be the power source, you might wanna try pin #8 689 because I think that one is what gives the signal for the power antenna to come up and that is also 12 volts. #8 might even be safer because it really might not be good for the amp to have it's full power on and then you turning on the radio. If #8 doesn't work, try #7 and one of those should send the power needed to turn on the amp. So, disregard pin#3 296 and go for #8 or #7 296 so that it's turned on with a soft start up. Have someone watching the power light when you turn the radio on. If nothing from #8, then try #7 and as long as you have overload protection on the amp, nothing bad should happen but the remote does call for 12 volts. You'll need to run your main power wire too from the battery and try to keep the inline fuse within 12" of the positive terminal. For instance, this is mine.

Hey Fellas hey limit, Well Today i almost completed working on the system and I connected the Remote wire from the amp to C257 behind the headunit category 8 which i tryed first then 7 and 3 but nothing happens what gives ??? Yes i checked the fuses

Test for power there when the ignition is turned on and the radio is turned on. If the radio is coming on, something should be happening. Get a long remote wire and just run it out the door to the amp for testing but do a voltage check at the harness when the ignition is turned on. Seems like someone mentioned once on here that the remote output voltage wasn't 12 volts. I could be wrong on that but if you went with aftermarket, you would have the wire that's needed.
