What do you think about the 2008 Cadillac CTS? Would do you like or don't like about the car? I am doing a project about luxury cars for graduate school and we are focusing on the Cadillac?

I have seen it in person and although I am a Lincoln man through and through... I have to say it is pretty sharp. I would like to drive it to see if Lutz is blowing smoke when he said that he would put it against any BMW or Lexus on the market. We'll see when the production version reaches all of the car magazines how it really compares.

Thank you so much for your opinion. Our professor entered us in a Cadillac Case Study competition that is focused on promoting the 2008 CTS. From the pictures that I saw, the orange rust (??))color makes the car look more distinctive than the silver color that they had at the show. It looks like two different cars.

I have seen on other threads that car enthusiasts like yourself reserve opinion until the production model comes out? Is that true?

I am pretty sure that the models that were present at the car show were production models being that they are going to launch them this summer. But I will not be able to give my total opinion until I actually drive the vehicle.
Also they had the burnt copper and silver colors at the Detriot show.

Hey Lincoln,

Thanks for your input. I got permission from Urbanski (the site administrator) to post the Cadillac survey on the site. He has posted it in the lounge, other threads and the CTS thread. I would really appreciate it if you filled out the survey since we want Cadillac fans' opinions.

Here is the survey link: CADILLAC

Thanks

While the 2-door coup would be nice (there hasn't been a two-door since the Eldorado), the wagen and the baby-sized Astra-Cadillac concept suck.

I own a 2008 Cadillac CTS

I bought my CTS late September and I love it. I can truely answer Kate Walsh's question in the commercial--yes my car does return the favor when I turn it on. It is the red one, very classy and fun to drive. The positivies out weigh the negitives by far. Here is what I don't like about it: 1. front end is so low to the ground I am constanly scrapping it 2. there are blind spots, which make me very nervous 3. I think they should have made the front seats roomier, perfect for me, but I think most men would feel somewhat confined.

We weren't going to buy until Spring of 2008, but when the dealership called in September and said they had a red one, I knew I would be doing more than looking, I drove it home a couple hours later. I truely believe the marketing of the car is what first caught my eye. We had the worst winter this year, (lots of snow and ice) even though it is rear-wheel drive, I had no problem, we put on a new set of studs and loaded the trunk, (which is very roomy) with a couple hundred pounds of sand.

I have not had any mechanical problems in the 6 months that I have owned the car. I am looking forward to the nice weather where I will really be able to enjoy driving. We looked at BMW's, Mercedes and Lexus, this Cadillac by far was the best.

I'd like to see how the MKZ compares or even competes in this class.

MKZ really isn't in that class is it??? That was more the LS...MKZ isn't even fair game cause everyone knows it can't hold its own..The LS is a diff. story
