What does having spark plugs gapped mean?

not gonna lie, the first time I got LMGTFY'ed (different forum), I laughed pretty hard at it, then I felt a little silly for not thinking to just google the question. I then promptly thanked that member for A: giving me the answer I needed, B: showing me how to save time by not having to wait for someone to give said answer to me, and C: for showing me such a cool way to teach other people.

if anyone gets butt hurt over LMGTFY, they have their own problems that need to be worked out...

My own approach is to pay back or pay forward, considering all the help I've received here. But that's just me.

to be totally honest his link, whether smart assed or not, not only gave the correct answer, but also show a couple videos showing exactly how to do it (lets face it, a lot of people are visual learners, then need to see it to understand it). that really makes it the most complete answer in this thread... if that is not paying it forward and teaching it out, then nothing is!

Doesn't it only hurt just a little at the begging anyways? :shifty:

I only have experiences with digital cameras (ko-lun-AH-skuh-pee) going in, other then that your asking the wrong person!

It's my belief that ... on here, jamming somebody's nose in it is counterproductive ...

If that's how you would like to look at it so be it, then there's those of us that do consider it productive.
Case in point, Loud1's posted lesson from being introduced to LMGTFY

Not only does it provide more then enough to answer the question at hand, it also immediately teaches them that maybe asking a simply question could have been looked up quicker with Google.

Up to you, I personally could care less, it's all here for the reading, if some prefer to simply post a new thread with a repeated question rather then doing some research and replying to an older on-subject thread, then I feel they could very well benefit from either a Google link to relevant matters or simply the .... here!!! LMGTFY, learn to Fn search and read.

... Now if someone, had done some research and wanted to discuss the matter/problem further in depth with others, I'm all for that. Good to bring up something old and try and learn further on it, nothing wrong with that, always going to get someone new or something new added to the discussions. It's how we learn and continue to learn new things.

Can we make this thread a sticky please? :runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway:

you better be careful now, you just playing with fire...

using google to search on how to search google could lead to a tear in the space time continuum and cause a universe ending paradox!

BTW, did you know that you can ask Siri to "Google" a question and you get a different result than just asking Siri the question?
Anyway, there are some good "if Google was a guy" skits out on the web.

Siri is a snappy heffer. She gets attitude quick!

PRO TIP:
Always "shorten" the link, otherwise people can see that they are getting Rick Rolled (not literally).
