For 2002 the LSE came in black and silver only. It came with a V6 manual or auto tranny and a V8 auto. All LSE's are sports. The main difference is the body kit. Also the grille and rear plate surround are color matched and their was a LSE only optional spoiler.
For 2004/2005 They added Vivid red metallic to the color options. All LSE's were V8 sports. But they had wood on the door panels in intead of whatever else was there on the sports. The had a different body kit, grille (this time with chromed "teeth"), surround and special spoiler. But also special LSE only wheels.
If you look up LSE on ebay they probably have examples.

I forgot to add that when the LS's had two-tone tail lights the (2004/2005)LSE's were all red.
Also all three years had LSE embriodered front floormats.

Also, the 02 LSE, which is what I have, is the only year to have ROUND fog lights...
I broke 2 of my fog light mounts on right side = new bumper = $$$$

They are. Only made in 2002. And the parts (bumper, side skirts, rear valance) are no longer being produced.
Oh, I'll add that the 02 LSE also has a different color wheel than the rest of the first gen's. They are the same 5 spoke 17" wheel, but are darker.

Not quite. My 06 has round fog lights.
Technically the rarest LSE's in the world would be the 2002 with a manual transmission. As that is the last year of those and the first year of the LSE. I did find myself a 2001 5-speed Sport, but would've waited forever to find an LSE with a 5-speed. LSE's do look sharp.

True about the rims, if you remember Pete, at our meet, I thought they were so caked on with brake dust that that was why they were darker... I saw another LS at this used car lot today with my same rim size / style, but chrome, and not an LSE, it had chrome on the bumpers

I love you LSE enviers(possibly a made up word but i dont give a :q:q:q:q), thats why i love my car. I just wish i had the stock wheels for winter.

ive seen the body styling, not much different to me i like the bumper though, i havnt seen interior, so if any body got any pics of the cabin plz share the only lse ive seen in person was in terrible condition, silver, the exhaust pipes looked rusted and was riding on a donut poor car, but id like the see the interior designing. my ls will be an lse with 2000$ by the way

I love my LSE. After months of searching, I found exactly what I was looking for on eBay...unfortunately it was out in Ohio and I live near Boston. So I figured it was time for a road trip. After winning the auction, I flew out there and drove it home. It was definitely a fun experience

If u have a first gen good luck on that $2000. The rear valence is $1000, plus side skirts front bumper and rear bumper.
