probably started in mid 93. Ford is notorious for making mid-year changes.
What parts are different between a 94 and a 95 Mrk VIII?

Mine has the moonroof, with the switch/light control at the front, and short sunvisors,... I've seen other 94's with moonroof and controls behind it, with longer sunvisors. Possibly aftermarket??

Thanks to everyone for the input, and feel free to keep it coming. Special thanks to billcu. I'm pretty sure I'm just getting rid of the auto-dim layer and cutting my losses. That mirror has been kicking my a$$ since I got this car

Plus the moonroof on the 94 behaves much differently, so seeing it's in between the other two with the same moonroof I am guessing the 94 has an after market moonroof.

A few more differences:
The 94 shifter has leather that is the same color as the interior leather color and a plastic black button.
The 95 shifter is black leather with a chrome button.
The 95 has the bigger radio.
The 94 engine beauty cover says "4.6L Four Cam V8".
The 95 engine beauty cover says "InTech 32 Valve V8"
Oh, and the 95 rear bumper cover has cut outs for the exhaust pipes and the 94 doesn't.
