96 IMRC's that hold vac...90k miles...actuators and runners

How much is the seller asking? Are yours faulty? It may be worth having them around. Those are a VERY rare item year specific to only the 96 model. Pure gold in my opinion.

he hasn't named a price; it's some prick in Fla who owes me money for parts never delivered and no longer needed; I doubt this deadbeat will ever pay me back so maybe I should ask him for parts I need or can sell at some point down the line..my RH actuator occasionally loses vac (P1537) but it's been good lately...I'm thinking 200?

Like Kirk said, I'd get them. 1996 part specific and you never know when they might be needed and if he owes you money and doesn't have it, get back what you can out of him. As for the cost, I couldn't say really what they're worth.

well I reluctantly aggreed to 225..meaning he sends me the parts and $50...then we'll be flush, lesson learned..bad ebayer

Meah, 96 IMRC's aren't a big deal. You can use the earlier ones and kill the code.

That said, if it's between those and not getting anything, grab em.

duh...muh bad...
re; alternatives to replacing leaking diaphragms...the linkage can also be wired open and a custom tune will compensate (some) for the lost low end torque, and squash the CEL

A tune will compensate for hardly any of the low end torque loss. You need steeper gears and a stall converter if you wire them open. The car will be a turd even with a chip. Deleting that function is only for aggressive NA setups or power adder Mark8s IMO.

so the POS seller from Clearwater, Fla and I came to supposed 'terms'...previously I asked him for 96 IMRC's- for 150 he sent me the housings with no actuators- I thought maybe those were worth something, but was proven wrong;
I later agreed to buy a couple of trim parts from him for 125- after not sending them for a week I told him to just refund my 125..after a month of no refund we agree that he would send me the vac actuators for the IMRC's and pay me 50....well, the actuators came in and neither one holds vac pressure; I still haven't been paid the 50 of course;
-private msg me if you wanna know who to stay away from, he also sells Lincolns of Largo parts on ebay;

Oh chit man. That fvcker already has a bad rap sheet and scams people on purpose. I wish we would've known who you were dealing with beforehand. He's screwed sooo many people. :mad:

and his rating on ebay is over 98%...just goes to show how much that rating is worth; I guess I should be lucky he even sent me the leaky actuators
...oh well, I flashed my tune last night....it's killer, hard shifts, no more mush-pedal

He is the person who buys parts from ebay, then complains to the seller that they were damaged in shipping. Then he requests a full or partial refund. Then he resells the same part on ebay, making more profit. I am really suprised that nobody has hunted this person down and killed him yet!

That's why when I buy from ebay, I always look at ANY negatives the seller has to see what people said about him. I've been stung a couple of times - I bought a 4000w Yorkville amp off someone for $500 because it sounded like a great deal. When I got it, only one channel worked (and I think the guy had like a 98-99% rating).

Bottom line, you can always send anything back and get a full refund from Paypal. I've had to do it a couple times over the past 15 years.

just a few days ago a buyer left this feedback for Lincolns of Largo/Ed:

"very slow shipping, never arrived, had to get refund from ebay, not from seller"

-yet, somehow this POS is still permitted to sell on ebay...unreal

I only first contacted this c_cks*cker after I called the local Ford dealer looking for a discontinued part,THEY gave me his cell phone number...sheesh...his BS is gonna catch up to him in an ugly way

i figure he's into me for about 250...
I asked for IMRC's and he sold me those housing assembly plates for 150....
then he owed me 125 for parts never sent;
he finally mailed me the non-functioning IMRC vac actuators and acknowledges he owes me $50 more, but I'll never see it...
so the non working IMRC's might be worth 25....
for 275 I got something worth about $25....
bottom line: I got a $250 lesson on who to stay away from; it ain't worth going to jail over $250 and some lying POS

Ed from eBay? This guy? ;)
