What was everyone's first car?

My first car was given to me by my grandmother, unfortunately after my uncle passed on. It was a 1979 Ford Fairmont with a Straight Six. He paid $200 for it... He bought it from my brother inlaw's grandmother. Oh how I miss the good times I had in that car.

My car's history:

1989 Hyundai Sonata GL
1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham 2dr
1987 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 2dr
1988 Ford Mustang Hatchback LX
1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham 2dr <-- (current for sale)
1980 Lincoln Continental Town Coupé <-- (getting very soon!!)

1986 Buick GNX

Do you mean a 1987 GNx? Buick only made them in 87. Unless you had a modded 86GN...either way...turbo g-bodies are badass.

Anyway...here's my first car...1970 Chevelle SS396...bought in 1986...totalled in 1989:

In 1984 my first car was a silver 1976 mercury cougar with 460/4B interceptor engine, posi rear, straight pipes and 60s all around. And I did the same thing but with the shopping carts at the mall, what do you expect I was only 17. Used to love to toast my friends with their trans ams and camaros. It would be nice if we said when we were born in this thread because IMHO it means everything!!:) First daily driver was a 1974 Ford Elite. At the same time my sister had a 77 Camaro which I drove alot. First car I bought on my own was a 1985 Mustang GT Fastback. Bought in 1985 just before turning 19. I have never bought anything non Ford.

BD 8-6-66.

first car

91 pontiac sunbird. 4 cylinder auto, throttle body injection, 100 horses of pure fun. I did put a $1000 stereo in it so it was hideously obnoxious and ugly. ps born in 1980.

1984 Oldsmobile Omega (paid $300 for it)
1989 Pontiac Grand Prix SE (loved it, still miss it, tranny was on its way out)
2000 Ford Focus ZTS (Lemoned)
2001 Ford Focus ZX3 (loved it, but saw what i really wanted, see next car ,lol)
2001 Lexus IS300 (traded for the LS, worked out to be cheaper)
2001 Lincoln LS V8 (got to drive it for ONE week, before i got cut off and smashed it, still waiting for it to get fixed)

My first car (in 1988) was a 1977 Ford Granada Ghia, with the 302 California. 122 HP. Motor Trend ran it 0-60 in 14.2 seconds. It was a great car.

My first car was a 1971 Ford F100 with inline 6 3 on the tree. Also NO power steering and power brakes. Practicle a giant piece of metal like half of these guys. Then the motor Died on me and got me a 289 Ford Galaxy motor.

Woulda loved to have met your TR3 on the road with my lite snack. Six cyl. MGC with a .60 overbore. 3/4 race cam, triple SU's, Pirahna ignition, two speed elec overdrive and water injection. Ran it on some very fat rubber mounted on Minilites that would only fit after the suspension was worked and all four corners were flared. Routinely embarassed the sh*t outa the local muscle car drivers in front of their dates.

87 Ford Taruas she was a awesome car had some awesome road trips in her back in the days of HS.

1984 Pontiac Firebird SE -- Bought with $3000 of my own hard earned and saved cash from bagging groceries. Bought it in February of 1996. Traded it in that November for:

1991 GTA Trans Am -- I miss that car. Traded it in May of 1999 for:

1999 Trans Am (Brand New) -- Sweet ride, but embedded with problems. Lemon lawed that car in February of 2000 and in march 2000 bought:

1993 Trans Am (still have) -- This car is my toy, baby, and bane of my existence, all at once. Then, in October 2001, I added my beater/daily driver:

1989 Toyota Celica (still have) -- Free, 34 MPG, nuff said. Then a deal came along in June of 2003 for:

Another 1993 Trans Am (still have) -- Fully modded (heads, cam, ect) and got it for $6000. And lastly, in December of 2004, we got

the 2000 Lincoln LS. Refinement and fun all wrapped into one of the nicest cars I've had the pleasure of being around, save for multiple expensive trips to the dealership who doesn't know how to diagnose a fuel pum issue.

1993 Pontiac Firebird - black, leather, fun car. For some reason I traded for a cavalier and then for my LS. :L

Sorry to be rude but the topic or title of the thread was: What was everyone's first car? Not list every car you have owned. Just poking fun no harm done.

1985 Toyota pickup, 2 wheel drive.

It did have a matching canopy :zgreenbou

I'm still broken hearted... 1966 Mustang GT Convert. K code 271 H.P. Bought in 1972 for $500.00 sold in 1975 for $550.00.. They weren't worth anything back then. A dime a dozen in the newspaper... But I replaced it with a 1973 Mach 1... 351 Cleveland... And then that got totalled... I had so many I can't count that high.
