I can tell you one thing, straight line racing with the LS in SST mode is just silly. all it gets you is a chance for YOU to mess it up, either in a bad shift timing of your own or the car either not registering the shift request or it having an unusually long wait before it actually shifts and then tagging the limiter...
at the end of the day, its an auto trans. you don't want the transmission coming into your place of work and trying to tell you how to do your job... let it do its job.
