Hey everyone...I have done this in the past with the other MN12/FN10 forums but its a first to include you all because I only just did discover this great place recently. Anyways, I run The Custom Wheel Shop dot com and before I decide on what new wheels to cast for our cars I ask the members of the forums to participate in a wheel poll that has all the choices available to me this year.

Unfortunatley I am only able to do ONE new fresh look/wheel this year specifically built to the specs required for our cars.

Anyone who frequents the Markviii.org please fill those fellas in for me if ya don't mind. I can't because I was recently banned for having too long of a signature because I sign my name at the end of my posts...haha...I never took care of it the way :shifty:CRAZY CALVIN:shifty: wanted me to so I got BANNED...First time for me to ever be banned from a website or anything else...heh...So anyways...haha

So just follow the link and place your Vote. If you are not registered at the SCCoA then do so :) OR just post your specific choice here, email me or PM me with the title WHEEL POLL. This is truley what I base my decision on before I cast a wheel. So VOTE!!!

Cheers & THANKS!!!!

Not a SCCoA member :( dang it, otherwise there is a set that is yummy! Halibrand 18X8.5 or 20X8.5 Chrome has a sorta lincoln look. I hate those that have spokes that get fatter as they get closer to the center, so 1990s and "Mustang" looking. And yes, I know they are suppose to look "Mustang" or "Cobra", but I drive a Mark VIII and would not want my car to look inferior to the lesser breed!

Everyone has their own idea of what looks good and thats the reason I don't decide all by myself. I LOVE the input just as you put it above or otherwise.

Also...Keep in mind that it costs nothing to just register at the SCCoA...;) ...Its a great forum with some great people over there. You might actually want to reply to something one of these days...hehe

Thanks for the input!!!

CRAZY CALVIN

He banned you for that? What a nazi. That guy is the biggest douche, anyway. But regarding wheels, definately 18x9 FR500s' in chrome or black with polished lip. That's the kind of wheel I wanted on my Mark VIII, but decided that it wasn't worth the hub and brake swap just to put wheels on it. I did a few photoshops to see if I'd like it, and they would look awesome...

They're probably gone by now. I no longer own an VIII. I'll see if I can make some up...

Two things after I looked...

I actually like the Chyllin rims but I think its cause they come in 20's

I LOVE the FR500's but I wish they came in 20's and 19's for a staggered setup...

But I would like to see some other options... and you need to have these on cars so we can see what the hell they look like on our precious marks!!!!

hey brad I bought my bullets off of you and I would probably buy a set of FR500's in black from you I have been looking for some deep dish rims and these would look good on my black 95 anyway to make the dish deeper for production? :)

Half-assed PS:

Definately the FR500 chrome or black with chrome lip! I always dreamed of having those on my black 98 LSC!

voted!

voted for the 18x9 chrome FR500s........we went deep dish!!!!!!! hehe :D

or we can go charcoal on them........if it matches my paint :p

that charcoal thats pictured looks like regular plain grey :shifty:

black could work...........

aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! i just want some rims!!!!!!!

Saleens, Cobra R's, or FR500's......whatever i cant get when i get the money.......

lol :D

must start saving........

I still think there should be a 20" for a FR500... that would be sick

Lemme try to address all the questions/requests. I have not been getting the email notification for replies...Been busy...

Anyways....

Deep Dish could be possible. Keep in mind that the dish would not be too pronouned because of the high offset needed. In order for the dish to be pronounced the center section needs a spoke design that curves back into the cetner of the wheel. Similar to the SmoothieII coddington wheels I did in 17 & 18X10...These things have a monster lip mostly because of the spoke design. So I can look into a deep dish and what kind of lip it would produce with a FR500 but can't make any promisses.

Now...HOW Much for a 20X8.5 SpeedStar?? Hopefully no more than $235ea shipped. Do my best to make it lower than that. Depends alot on what my costs are and if things have gone up recently like everything else has.

20" FR500....I don't have a cast available in that size YET...It could be an option that shows itself down the road, just not right now.

Thanks for all the replies and votes over at the SCCoA. Would have done a poll here but I don't see where there is a section for such a thing.

Cheers & Thanks again,

Brad

Here is a new option I have as well...Its a custom forged billet two-piece wheel. No....Its not cheep, but it is a custom option that allows you to adjust offset and go staggered in unique form. I was floored with a few of these styles myself. I have not even got a book/guide on these yet though. I am going to have to assume they are pricey. Anyone interested feel free to PM me and I will look into it.

Could do a 20X8.5 Front & 20X10 Rear no problem though.
