When to replace Battery as preventive maintenance?

Probably the MAF, otherwise, maybe fuel pump...
 
Thanks Joe, I remembered the MAF trick and tried it unplugged but no go. The fact that it would fire (for a second) got me thinking the fuel pump is OK as well.

How likely is it that a COP issue would do this without 'warning'? When it did fire it sounded strong ie: sucking in a lot of air (which got me thinking MAF too)
 
I had the same thing happen with start then quit right away. Ended up needing the MAF sensor cleaned. Ran good for a couple days then engine light came back on. Ended up needing a new MAF sensor. So i would start with cleaning it. Also the code was a engine running lean code

I actually don't think it's COPs this time, unless it is a freak thing with RF from one of them crashing the PCM.
