where is the oil drain plug on a lincoln ls

i feel stupid asking but i got under the car and the plug i was looking at had other plug used for oil draining
 
lol sry i cant help yea either i havent done an oil change on my ls but im due for it so ill probably be going through this as well...
 
It's on the trailing edge of the oil pan. I'd say you can't miss it, but obviously, you can. ;)

The oil filter is directly in front of the block (at least on the '03+ V8s), and there's a piece of sheet steel directly behind the oil filter (towards the rear of the car)--that's th oil pan. There's a big ol' bolt sticking out of the trailing edge of that sheet steel pan--that's the drain plug.

On my '04 V8, I could almost reach it without jacking up the car, but I put it up on ramps when I'm changing the oil so I can look around the underside...
 
old thread but i need to know where the oil filter is on the 2000-2002 V8.
 
Drain the engine oil.
Remove the lower splash shield.
Remove and discard the oil filter.

wait a second, am i looking at the front (towards the grille)?

oh ok thats good, just going off of what the tech soft told me, glad that it all worked out for you, and have a safe trip
 
thanks. by the way i refilled with mobil 1 (full synthetic) and a fram oil filter.
