I'm pretty sure that there is a thread somewhere in here about those "Brake Motive" rotors and how junky they are. I can't see the other options you posted being any better. Just remember that you get what you pay for.
 
They don't get horrible reviews. A few people have had minor cracking and rust. I think you might be able to combat that by painting them. If its the "look" you're going for than do it.

I think they would look good with black paint in the slots, holes, edges, and caliper.
 
Centric Premium rotors (painted hats and vents) + Akebono Euro ceramic pads or Duralast Gold C-Max ceramic.

Don't cheap out on brakes.
 
I have the RotorPros Brake Package from the group buy. They have around 15k and so far are silent and stop good. I got the ceramic pads and stainless steel brake lines. The rotors have some small cracks but I think all drilled and slotted rotors will. I will not be getting them again and I don't recommend them or any other drilled/slotted cheap rotor.

$300 is not a lot for a four wheel brake job.
 
Did you expect to pay $25 per rotor? This isn't an econbox or some cheap pos, even though the price of GEN 1s says otherwise.
 
the Duralast Gold C-Max ceramic are good pads. i've had a few sets on various brake set ups, the LS and others.

i usually buy cheap rotors and good pads my self. i have had good luck

And like the majority of people out there, you probably won't have issues with those rotors. Sometimes what I write makes it seem like the sky is falling. It's not. After 30 years in the friction business, 25 doing vehicle testing, I look at rotors as pieces of iron that get abused by the all important friction material.

The common issues consumers would have with A/M rotors is if the finish is too coarse it will take a longer time for the pads and rotors to burnish in an develop full braking ability. Later in use (20k to 30k), due to runout issues you can develop pulsation from Disc Thickness Variation (DTV) and develop hard spots from the subsequent thermal imbalance. But if the pads are abrasive enough, even that issue can be self correcting.

no need to go crazy with top of the line parts for a daily driver.

and judging by the op's links he's not looking to drop 300-350 on brakes. A lot of people use those ebay kits with no problems other than squeaky pads.
 
I have R1 concepts blanks front and rear with r1 pads all around and I really like them. A little squeeky under light braking but stops on a dime everytime, not to mention no dust at all.

I agree you don't have to spend top dollar but you also want a quality product that isn't going to fracture over time, especially when we're talking about the parts that stop the car; def don't want them failing. If you don't want to spend the cash then just get the factory rotors cut (if they're still good) and buy quality pads, in my opinion. If you're worried about the look with rust then use caliper paint and paint the center hats / "outer ring". It's pretty easy once you prep and tape it off, did it on my Mustang. Just throwing out alternatives.
