Which one would you buy??? 2 diff LS's im looking at

Im still in the market.... nothing really good here in detroit but i can wait i guess..

Hard choice

Drive both, see which one feels nice and tight on the road. Both have the electric cooling fans so no worry about hydra fan in gen1. Check underneath for rust and look at the rubber bushing on the rear links, they tell the tale on usage. The 03 looks like a steal. Someone babied that car. My 01 runs like new at 138k, no rust, rubber bushings are very worn. If you buy the 03 and run it up to 150k, then sell for $1000, you will do very well.

From Craigslist, I've seen the same one posted on there from when I was looking,..2 years ago! Couldn't agree with you more.

wow !! hahaha... Where did you end up getting yours??

Lets just say that the interior in my 02 looks much better than the one in the 06 ..... other than that... looks nice in the outside... i tried to negotiate with seller he didnt want to at all....

That's strange. Usually the interior is in better shape than exteriors.

That's one of the main reasons I got mine.... It looked new on the inside.

What about the interior is that much better? Unless you are talking about pure condition and not features

I had another fellow member tell me the same thing about his 1st Gen and how much better the interior was and that's why he bought it over an 03. Then he sat in mine for more then 5 minutes and quickly changed his mind once he started noticing all the changes from 1st to 2nd gen.

Private seller out of Garden City. 04, v8, 77k miles, had it listed at 8500, got it for 7800. Have put tires, lower control arm, sway bar end links, upper control arms, and solenoid body in it. Still worth it if you ask me.

At the time I was capped at 8500 since that's what I got from my truck when I sold it. This was the newest one that I test drove that day, it was close between this one and an '03 same color that had body work done to it. The other ones we looked at were first gens that looked good online.

Hope it picks up for ya, maybe when spring rolls around a few decent/good ones will pop up on there.

Thanks for all your help guys !! so the 03 seem nice when i looked at it, ran a car fax and nothing but lies from the dearlearship ... car had a salvage title so i decided to stay away from it .. ( I KNEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ) ... I went and looked at the 06 , i liked it but ... i wish previous owner took better care of it and guy selling it wont budge on price...

EXCELLENT reason to walk away!

I think he meant condition wise.

Im sure all the gen I guys who sit in a gen II quickly change their minds especially if its a loaded gen II.

I have to agree with going with an 06 why settle for less, I have a 2000 134k V8 still running strong love it but I hate the interior its very out-dated.
