These posts seem to confirm my philosophy of buy a used car that does not hold its value with cash. I've put 60,000 on mine, needed rear window regulator, front end bushings, brakes, tires (two sets of snows one set of regular) and a windshield.
So far, for the cost of a Corolla, maybe $550 worth of repairs (ignoring tires and brakes), and $1800 extra in fuel (compared to a car using regular and getting 30 mpg), I've operated the LS. Not a bad deal. Only repair that really bothers me is the windshield ($400) not sure the flying stone should have broken it.
