Whos F'n FAST mark is this!!!???

When I had the 205/40/17 POS tiny tires on my Eldo for awhile I should've taken a video like that, it would look like it did 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds (at elevation even.) I think I'll do it with my Mark when I put in a speedcal, I could make it look like 0-60 in like 3 seconds...

My 78 Mustang would throw the needle past 120 its limit and almost get to 0 again when I ran the 1/4 mile. Pretty cool to watch, when I wasn't watching ahead of me or the rpms. Timeslip only said 93 :(.

Speedo was way off. On the streets it would fool people pretty good.

...I wonder how difficult it would be to get the Mark's 0-60 in under 6 seconds, with stock gears. The new Mustang does it in 5 with 300hp and it doesn't weigh that much less....

The new Mustangs I think are all 3:55s and the 5 speed helps gearing also. So to compare with the Marks stock gears isn't really fair to the Mark.

I gaurantee if they re-dynoed a mark viii motor, it would make a lot less hp than what it was rated at.

yea but it also throws off the shif points too, so that thing is calibrated properly.

they are dynoing pritty accurately on the dyno for rwhp.

I've heard to the contrary, that the Gen1s might likely have been under rated.

So how much more power is needed to shave one second off the 0-60?

The last I checked mine it was 5.6-5.8 seconds. But that was with 4.10s, before the dynotune, drag tires and headers.

Someone told me it felt like between 4 and 5 seconds, but I said no way it's THAT quick. I haven't checked in a long time.

i have had to diagnose veh's but running them on a rack with the wheels lifted off the ground and with 0 drag at all, you could spin the wheels up that fast it dosent show the horizon i think its a fake
