well yea your bro's got some help too i met him at gld last year
Yea just a little hair dryer:D

So what do you think the 0-60 times on most of our Marks with minor mods (chip, transmission, exhaust) is?

I think my brother pulled 3.2 seconds 0-60 mph at the track according to G-TECH meter.
:slam :bsflag: NOT flaming, just keeping it real for those who look in. Even with a hair dryer, unless he's tubbed with big slicks, just can't see it.

0-60 in 6.3-6.6 with chip, trans, exhaust.
0-60 in 5.9-6.2 plus gears.

realy? even though the 375hp/370 tq zr1 runs it in 4 with only 300 lbs less weight?

you dont think that its possible to run quick 0-60's without being tubbed and big slicks...

Why not?  Look at cars like Viper,ZO6,Ford GT,Ferrari ,Lamborghini.............they all run from high 3 sec to low 3 sec 0-60 mph and high 11's to mid 12's 1/4 mile on street tires. So,you're saying that mark 8 running 11.8 1/4 mile on slicks can't hit 3.2 sec 0-60mph.

Btw here is the link for stock cars 0-60mph and 1/4 ET http://www.missouri.edu/~apcb20/times.html#Lincoln

Wait! You said your brother's car pulled a 3.2sec 0-60mph.

I said b.s. not because I think you are exaggerating, but rather because I can't see a 4000 (race weight with driver/gas) on 225 or even 245 7.0 inch street tires having the traction to do it, especially with an IRS. The rear would really have to be worked on to defeat the tire hop and the stall would have to be pretty big. At least 3500.

These are my opinions but I can't see a 3.2 0-60 happening in any MarkVIIIs that I have ever seen.

I have a call in to a guy and should be able to confirm what it would take to do it.

And was your brother running slicks or drag radials?

his speedo may be off.. I have a vid of me with open headers but the wrong speedo gear and in less than 12 seconds I was over 100mph on my speedo.

Read my post again ,it says slicks.I never said anything about street tires.MT ET drag 26/8.5/15

my only argument here is that the 93-95's did 0-60 in 6.5-6.7 seconds stock.

using the 0-60 to 1/4 mile calculators

a 6.0 sec 0-60mph is a 14.5 second car.

5.5 seconds = 14.00 1/4 mile.

no one knows the mods on that car, so why are we saying it cant be done?

OK, slicks it is.

A Ferrari Enzo weighing 2800 lb and sporting 660 hp runs 0-60 in 3.4

An F40: 3.8
An F50: 3.7
A 911 Carrera: 4.9
911 GT2: 3.6
Mustang GT 500: 4.6
McClaren F1: 2.6
AC Cobra 427: 3.6
Viper SRT10: 3.9

Blown or not, I just can't see a 4000 lb car with what, 400 rwhp and an IRS and a 4R70W making the 0-60 trip in 3.2. Might be wrong. I sure would love to drive in one, that's for sure:D .

Let's hear the mods. Be happy to investigate.

Not saying it can't be done, just doubting it has as described. Like I said, I could be wrong and I'd more more than happy to take a ride in it.

Because is limited on tires.Put slicks on it and a good driver and I'm sure it'll even hit high 2's

No problem,I'll let you know when we go to GLD next time.

Crapy video but here it is Click here to see Video

bryan i saw this car last year just after he did some of the mods and was still working on the tuning and it was in the high 12's then, its fast!!! and all the supercars i feel were made for more than just 0-60 times or even 1/4 mile they are for top speed and/or extreme handling etc, so the designer compermises here and there sure this linc will beat in a 0-60 but the lambo would crush it in 0-150

I hear ya. Still not convinced. Your talking at least 1000lbs more. An IRS,
4R70W. What's his 60 foot?

The Enzo can drop the clutch and hold 1st gear all the way thru 60.

Like I have said a couple times. If he can, it'll be the 1st I heard and I want to be the 1st to take a run in it. And I'll be the 1st to congratulate him.

i dunno im just saying i didnt see it hit THOSE times but it was fast as hell when i saw it at gld, he ran a few runs and even smoked my BONE stock 15.2 best run (i was making baseline runs test and tune day) then he needed to get a helmet, but he didnt have one and didnt want to rent the track one so he only put in like 3 runs that day

Here's one of the better track times to 0-60 converters...

Acceleration Program

My 0-60 comes in at 4.84 using my best track run data.

Using 'stock' Mark VIII numbers, the 0-60 is 5.73 seconds.

Hey driller I have a stupid ?How do you get effective tire radius

I'm not sure of the accuracy(i.e "effective tire radius"), but I used 1/2 the tire diameter, in my case, 26" / 2 = 13".

Thanks
That's what I came up

494.5 flywheel horsepower
60 foot time = 1.842
eighth mile speed = 95.8
elapsed time = 7.459
quarter mile speed = 118.66
elapsed time = 11.638
0 to 60 time = 3.28
final rpm = 6305

God damn!,that think is preatty accurate.
