Realistically, I'd imagine the "S" to be in the high 50s at least, considering you could price out 06s for high 40s. *You* may think "but it's just the sport version meant to have fewer amenities and luxuries" but in reality, if you're holding that kind of money and you're looking at luxury brands, speed isn't going to be your only concern. Look at the Jag XF-R. You get few options with a lot of standard equipment and it's already in the 95-105 range.
*Me* is well aware of Jaguars prices. *me* also knows the LS wouldn't make sense competing with Jaguar who is only purchased for its name, like BMW and can get away with offering you poor reliability and lousy amenities, as long as it says BMW/Jaguar/Mercedies/Porsche on the car.... something which LINCOLN has no name in and CANT get away with. Even if the LS was successful. *Me* is also aware that Dodge offers the Charger SRT8 for $44,000 CAD, and that thing has 465HP, with 5X the luxury of an LS (cup heaters anyone)?
And finally *Me* is also aware that having a 33k price for entry and up to high 50k, is not common. Someone spending 58k will not want to drive the same car as someone spending 33k... Most manu's make a whole new line.
Either LS starts at 44k and ends at 58k, or starts at 33k and ends at 48k.
This is why american auto industry fails. What you just did. Bad boy. Go to your room LSFrank.
