Elliot, I wish I could go see your car man!!! This food poisoning has got me feelin really nasty!:(

food poisoning? did you swallow some pork sword whole again alex? when are you going to learn. i guess thats why i never got a call from you this weekend, GOOD because i didnt want to see you anyway, if you came in my shop this past weekend there would have been a good chance of you ending up in pieces in the dumpster, that car had me heated, it still does!!!

I have to agree with Laser, Jaime i highly doubt you're anywhere close to sniffing 283rwhp. imo @ best you're right around 250 :)

My '93 put 280ish down with stock heads/cams naturally aspirated.

No offense, I'd find a different tuner.

Safe tune? No doubt.

and after the car is back together and bug free i am going to have it dyno'd because i am sure my car makes more than 250 at the wheels, only one way to find out!

Surely Driller you had something else as far as mods to have 280 rwhp! Last I checked 93's came with
280hp stock @ the crank

driller has the most ridiculous naturally aspirated mark that i've heard of. dunno what he had at that time though.

Heck, the '93 was 250 RWHP back in '05 with much less mods. The car put 280+ RWHP numbers down on the dyno and backed it up consistently at the track with stock block, heads and cams. With the ported heads and custom cams, it was over 300 RWHP. It's somewhat dated, but my mods are listed for all to see at my home page. :)

Wow, that is very impressive. Sometimes there are just factory freaks. Sappers 93 is still faster then his 98 and the 93 is stock while the 98 has exhaust and a tune.

My 96 Cobra made 299.8 rwhp and it only had an H-pipe, cat back and tune. I had Gearheads do a precision timeing on the cams but thats it.

My 98 Mark on the other hand with CAI, x-pipe, borlas, tune and gears only made 240 rwhp.

I see some ecock swordfighting here, so I'm just gonna sprinkle a little love on this....

The Maxima I have makes 190 crank hp. 0-60 in 8 seconds, 12 if I'm actually in it. So there, I win.

I looked through this post again and I do not see any exhaust modifications. It becomes much more important to free up the exhaust with a blower.

That would be correct Don, I was running stock exhaust with 3rd cat delete. Todayn I will be installing 2 1/2 pipes and x pipe to get rid of that bottleneck and try to port the stock manifold collectors as close to 2 1/2 as possiblen thanks for your sound advice!!

well that s/c that i pm u about he decided to keep it after i saved the money to start paying now back to sqaure one

Ever think of cobra ext. manifolds?
They can be found for $50 bucks on c-list.

Better then messing with the stock I would think.

tru- but ud have to change over to the c heads from a 99 cont and then u can find cobra ext mans all day on ebay... i looked into that when i had my white mark viii that i totaled back in january

Your confusion is adding to my confusion, so don't do that because I am already confused.

If kustomizingkid and Roadboss claim they are interchangeable.

I would bet they are.

They better because I just picked up a set of 1999 cobra manifolds for fifty last weekend.
The steering joint will need to be done, and the ext will have to be modified down stream.

But a improvement over stock I would bet.
A simple search provides knowledge.

-ford really ive been reading about the exhaust and everyone said or i just mis read that using the exhaust maifolds needed to b c heads but damn i may b wrong

I think your thinking intake..
Mike tried marauder manifolds, now they won't work.

The exhaust ports match up with the cobra manifolds between the B and C head blocks. Ford Nut is right. Only the intake ports are different, hence the need for a different intake. If you're running a blower Kooks are #1, Cobra manifolds are #2, and there is no #3 because I wouldn't run a blower with our disgusting stock manifolds. ;) wickedwhite, time for #1 or #2 and take the #3s to the scrap yard. :D Awesome numbers considering though. :)
