Window Tint

Did SoS tell you how dark you can go. Again, I've heard/read that unless its written o. The script, they can still tell you how dark it can be.

That's a tough record Drizz.
 
Under Ohio's law, currently, I could black my car all the way out and there is nothing which can be done against me.
 
Florida is 28% front window and 15% on the others. I got the legal tint limit and it does OK. Would definitely prefer 15% all the way around but they can be pricks about it here.
 
also, here is a neat piece of advice, if you want the cops to have there guns out everytime you get pulled over (for anything) have any of your windows tinted.
 
Not a fan of light tint on my mustang I had 2% all around excluding the front windshield, its illegal to tint your front windows (driver, passenger n windshield) in CA. I plan on doing 2% again all around and my front windshield 35%
 
by guys with even bigger guns.

also was told at the border (northern) "next time, ALL the windows better be rolled down long before i get to the booth!"
 
Got it done today... They talked me out of 20% just because he knows how cops are in this town and said he'd bet money I'd be stopped within a week.

Ended up with 35% and I'm faily happy. I want darker but I've faught the law before, and the law won.

I have 50% side windows, 35% rear glass. I originally wasn't even going to tint, but with the arrival of my first son, I decided that he should be protected without having to put up one of those god awful suction-cup mounted sun shades.

So here's a pic or two (old pics, haven't even had the camera out of it's bag in close to a year.):

Is this 20% and what color is your interior.

Illinois law it's legal to have 35 all around, but I had that on my last one and it wasn't dark enough,

But this tint on your car looks good to me.

Will it look silly if I go 20 rear doors and rear windows and 35 front 2?

yes lol especially since the fronts are always going to look lighter when the sun hits the car, unless you have tinted windshield as well...
 
And remember my interior is black! But even with black interior 35 was still to light.

35 is the legal in Illinois. But if you have darker than that in the rear then the fronts are not allowed to have tint lol. Ehh. Ill just try out 20%.

What do you have now tint wise?
 
I have 5% now. Dark as fvck lol I need to lower my windows at night to back into my garage, even with the garage lights on

Haha chrome pillars. I'd really like 25 or 30 or better yet 27.5%. But the guy who does mine only has 5, 15, 20, and 35... I guess I'll woth for 20 for now. Because 35 was not doing anything for me. And maybe someday I can order a special % and have him re-do it with 25 or 30.
