I've seen issues with poor contact at the wiper motor connector (C125). You might start by unplugging and replugging this connector. Unfortunately, it's a pain to get to.

sometimes my wont work. but if i turn my car off and on again they work.. weird

whats weird is i dunno if all LS's have the i guess automatic wipers, but usually when i turn my car on they go 1 time unless there's water on the windshield, 1 day they stopped working, i took em off auto mode, still nothing

later that day driving it started raining, they started working again,

well that was the last time they ever worked

Can you re-phrase this into English, sir? :)

hahaha I apologize

when someone is riding around in my automobile and it starts raining and my windshield wipers come on and start working without me hitting the button they are like oh my gosh it does it by itself.

Yeah that is an awesome feature, but I love the heated windshield wiper thing the most! Especially since I live in NJ... snow/ice in the winter.

When I have my windshield wipers set to come on with the rain sensor, people in my car are curious as to how my wipers start working when it rains. Sometimes people will shout crazy things such as, "Oh my gosh, is the car possessed? I need to jump out of this car!" \

Helped ya out:D

I don't use the feature much but I'm sure I would if I got used to it.

ford could have executed this a little better, some subaru's have almost a full inch strip of defrosters across the bottom of the windshield, I've noticed my wipers dont stop right on the single line and it barely does the job

Right at the wiper motor. You'll have to take the wiper cowl off to get to it.

If you have a gen I (2000-2002), then there are some relays and the FEM that it could be.

I would like to thank everyone for your assistance you guys are the best. I ended up ordering a new wiper motor and just replaced it this morning. Now its working like a charm.......I wouldn't think that the motor could go out like that but hey it is a 9 year old car so once again thanks everyone.

...I miss the auto wipers from my 02 in my 06.

Two words........ Rain Tracker (www.raintracker.com). I installed it on both '06's as I also missed the auto-wipers. In fact, it came in very, very handy today!

when my wipers quit

I have an 01 Ls-8 , I had changed the wiper blades and a short period of time went by , a week or two , and my wife who mainly drives this piggy bank , said one day , by chance did you put the wrong wiper blades on my car , I replied , Nooo why do you ask , well when I turn them on , they make a full wipe or two then stop up on the glass and won't go any more or go to park if I turn them off , BUT , if I stop the car and restart it later , if the switch is in the park position the wipers will go to the bottom of the glass , and OH , buy the way , when I arm the alarm , the horn sounds like it just died , well having a good back ground in electronics , I started to trace the wiring from the trunk at the battery , checking all the fuses and retightening all ground connections , the wire harness goes from the trunk forward along the RS rocker panel to the RF floor side kick panel , more relays and connections , checking for anything loose as I went along , it leaves there and goes to the starter motor , and proceeds up to the Right Front corner of the Radiator support and Right Side fender inner skirt , a whole mess of relays , fuses and such , checking every thing as I go , NOW Right in back of the Right Head Lamp Assy , there is a welded stud { ground stud , with I believe 2 or 3 wires on it }, IT WAS LOOSE CAUSING THE PROBLEM , hope that helps you all Frank T
