Winter driving, Standard height time?

I decided to drive mine the past 2 winters, I left it lowered and bought some nice winter tires and cheap alloys for it. Had it all rust proofed and change the fluids etc. Been good so far, I've had far worse cars in the snow :)

Dedicated winter tires do make a helluva difference over all-seasons. I used to have all kinds of problems with anything over four inches of snow on AS tires. When I switched to Blizzaks, it wasn't quite like driving a tank, but close.

It was the salt that made me finally buy a DD so the Mark could go in the garage for winter. My Impreza makes winter driving a breeze, and it wasn't terribly expensive.
