Can beleive what I came out to this morning... and they thought they would get away with it... Dumb Shiat....!!!! I was parked over night and came out to this, this morning.... The damage extends from rear wheel well to the front of the passenger side door... Wonder what it will cost to fix, hummmm custom Metallic gold flake in paint... lets see...
Thankfully he's got insurance and the cops sided with my personal investigation as he first didnt think they were related.. put both cars side by side and you couldnt dispute it.. the kid of course denided it asking if I had anyone witness it... the cops said they even found FRESH NEW volcanized rubber on his damage he claims was there from hitting his mothers car. when asked how he got home last night he gave them 3 different stories and then asked if he went through the alley to get to our 1way street, he didnt remember... I was like wow.. really must have had a good bag on then..

Went down the street and Found his Dumb A$$... called the cops and they agreed his car was the one involved....
Pi$$ed me off bad.. nerve of a 17-20 year old kid!

Sucks but at least you wont be paying for it. Lucky you because if the cops dont see it happen they dont normally side with anyone.

They will lie at all ages. I had a 91 year old woman lie about hitting us in a parking lot, and I nearly got into a fight with a cop with a Napoleon complex who responded.
 
Damn, man. That really sucks. You are soooo lucky that the cop was that cool. They wouldn't help you out at all here. They might ask you why you had it parked there.
 
Glad you nabbed the little shi t. the kids nowadays never have any consequences. itll buff out! :)

Hers the bill so far, first estimate, 1800 to fix it and that's a legit company, and they can't garentee the repair will blend due to the custom paint job. They told me they may even total the car due to the paint cost. Well see what the other. Shops will say.

Dune buggy

In 1969 my 68 VW was T-BONED about 2am in downtown Toledo. The "OLD GUY" that did it SWORE up and down that it was ALL MY FAULT.
It was close to total. Lucky me the VW dealer gave me BOOK price on trade. He said he'd make more money on it because the guys building Dune Buggys at that time were looking all over for them. I was working on the radio at that time and mentioned all of it on my show. Few weeks went by and one night a guy was waiting for me in the parking lot with a Dune Buggy with all the goodies on it. He said that was the one I traded. I never really knew if it was mine or not. I didn't want to call the guy a liar. We needed all the listeners we could get.

Well I got the police report back and although the kid denies having hit the car, the police officer took the time to actually detail everything in his report.. I'll scan it later and post it.. but here are more detailed pics...
now I look out my front window and see the kids sitting next to the car in his truck just looking at the car.

when i visit people that dont have enough drive way for me, ill park right in the front yard on the grass.. not leaving my ride on the street like that
sucks you got hit. hope it gets fixed and not totalled, and glad you caught the ones that did it
 
after its all said and done (insurance check) you should still find him and beat his little. well u know where im going with that. i think it would be worth the charge its just assualt. jk sucks i feel your pain

yea, for the most part the car is street bound.. its ok. I dont mind being there, just this asshat thought he was going to get away since noone saw the incident.. didint think to clean off the truck, I would have atleast sprayed down the area with something to mask the damage or atleast cleaned off the fresh rubber! :(
