In 1969 my 68 VW was T-BONED about 2am in downtown Toledo. The "OLD GUY" that did it SWORE up and down that it was ALL MY FAULT.
It was close to total. Lucky me the VW dealer gave me BOOK price on trade. He said he'd make more money on it because the guys building Dune Buggys at that time were looking all over for them. I was working on the radio at that time and mentioned all of it on my show. Few weeks went by and one night a guy was waiting for me in the parking lot with a Dune Buggy with all the goodies on it. He said that was the one I traded. I never really knew if it was mine or not. I didn't want to call the guy a liar. We needed all the listeners we could get.

Mine got clipped in south Philly about a month ago, my bad for even THINKING I could drive it down there, but your's happened in front of your house-that D1CK! I got your Valve cover oil filler cap, and will get back to you with numbers for good paint and body guys-good you didn't get hit in the front so you are taking care of those LSC headlight housings for me Mike

Man, I feel a visit from the LVC Mafia... You want my headlamps, KStills wants ummmm, the whole car if the insurance company totals it for the paint??

I dont know if I should feel Loved or Jinxed!! anyway, thanks I hope to be able to squeak a few penny's out for a mod or two after repair... We'll see what the adjuster says..
