If any of you guys have been paying attention to my posts latly....car hasnt been running so hot.
Heres what i did...replaced the valve cover gaskets. ill just go down and do a list...
Left + right valve cover gaskets - 110$
Start car...runs horribly
Ignition coils + spark plugs - 170$
Start car...still runs horribly. starts after a few trys but wont rev or drive.
Take it to a shop - 175$ diagnostics
shop tells me its my fuel pump...so i replace it myself
Fuel pump - 146$
Start car, still runs like :q:q:q:q, wont rev or drive.
Get so fed up with it i take it to lincoln dealership...
lincoln dealership diagnostics - 85$
They come back and say do fuel filter and pull fuel rail to look at injectors.
Fuel filter - 83$ (crazy :q:q:q:q)
They call me back and say that the fuel injector wireing harness has broke where the tabs lock onto the injectors. but all the injectors look fine.
Fuel inector wireing harness - 280$ (still being disputed)
They also tell me both fuel pumps need to be replaced. and quote me 1600$. basically i loose my cool lol. I was very pissed off that the tech broke my harness, and also wanted to talk to him about the fuel pump(s). So i get him on the phone, heres where everything gets crazy. Earlier in the day i told the service writer the car ran fine until i did the valve cover gaskets. I had disconnected a fuel line and i think theres a problem with it. He said he would tell the tech. Im on the phone with the Tech and tell him about that fuel line, he has no clue about a fuel line. i told him to check it out make sure nothing is blocking it.
Apparently when i cut my fuel line on the "dampener" going over the drivers side valve cover (should've used a fuel line disconnect for 10$) there is a hard plastic inner shell of the fuel hose. when i put the line back on the dampener the plastic got pushed back and basically pinched. So What was going on what it was clogging the fuel flow. thats why it would go 40-50psi at idle and drop when you hit the gas. That clog wouldnt let fuel through.
New fuel line with dampener - 225$ installed
Anyways just because i cut that damn line instead of disconnecting it with the proper tools....it has cost me 915$
Of course im still going to argue the fact that the injector harness that got broken i shouldnt have to pay for...or atleast go 50/50. Plus the service writer didnt tell the tech what i had told him to tell him. if he wouldve perhaps my injector harness wouldnt be broken.
For the future...anyone planning on doing your VCG's on your own...use the proper tools. Just look at my experience from it!
On top of all that...my bike broke...clutch cable snapped...
new clutch cable - 34$
