Went and had my x pipe installed yesterday, snapped a few pics of the other cars in the shop. All work done by glenwood performance in south jersey, very nice guys with a nice shop, the owner is a sick master fabricator.

How much did the install cost? Are you running any mufflers out the rear, and how much louder is it now? Looks like he did a nice job welding that up.

nice Lux....feel any difference??? i'm sure it'll help you whoop on the Ls's at atco...lol

$60 bucks he supplied pipe, bent, swelled it, welded it, etc.

$40 for the xpipe

Thanks, he did a VERY nice job, this guy is meticulate about the littlest detail...thats why i had him do it and not joeblow muffler shop up the street.

as far as loudness...its pretty much the same as it was before because i still have the stock mufflers on there...i did get the slightest little bit more of a "grunt" but nothing much...only reason i could tell is because i drive it everday and take notice to every little sound...average person wouldnt of noticed the difference.

Thanks, ever get that spider straightened out?

Im gonna be doing mine tomorrow if the weather stays nice.

Sure did... works like a charm now... called up Eddie and ruffed him up a bit about it... but like the guy he is he was very pleasant, took responsibility, and is getting me what I need, I feel a little bad about it, honest mistake.

All I can say is Eddie is a stand up guy.

lol..havent really whooped on it since i had it done last night, i know it did something for it, that big POS cat was not only heavy but restrictive, now the exhaust can flow like it was meant to.

Looks good lux. I had mine done by a local hole in the wall and he did a great job on it.

sometimes those are the best places...i love finding people that take pride in their work...larry (at glenwood) is a great guy, i spent half the time under there working with him, he's like "look straight"...i was like "straight enough" he's like...its YOUR CAR and im not letting it outta here until YOUR 100% happy with it...i was like..well now that you mention it, you can raise the side up maybe an 1/4 inch, he smiled , twisted it, and tacked it where i wanted. :D

Guy is a master fabricatior...he hand makes everything from intakes, to custom brackets, valve covers, exhaust, engine plates....if its metal and needs to be custom, he'll not only make it...he'll make it nicer then you could imagine.

he sure is! glad you got it working ;) ...i cant wait until tomorrow.

so now what to do with the exhaust?

thats been bugging me...for a while.

i did the x because it was cheap, i saved weight, and at the same time helped the exhaust flow a little better...but now i want some sound out of it..

picked up some bullets but i'm fraid they will sound like sh!t after a while

dont feel like spending crazy amounts of money for some nice shiny ones when i wont get much of a real benefit from them

stock is TOO quiet

cutting the muffs off i have a feeling will be to loud

ahhh

I love how the spider sounds... instead of pssssst when it vents now it's PSHHHHHHHHHHT. Lol... I'm happy now....

bullets sound nice on the markviii man...my dad has them on his but they are mid mounted not out back.

I actually took the gf's 98 out for a drive the other day, its not that bad once you get up to speed, i talked to the guys down there and either tomororow or friday they are going to straight pipe the back. :)

I just straight piped my 97 and put on 18"x3.5" tips to see how I liked it. It actually sounds pretty decent but doesn't have the "grunt" I was looking for. So, tonight I ordered a bullet to replace my resonator with(same setup as vids I posted before).

Also, I am getting my stuff done for a good deal I believe:

100.00- remove mufflers, install 18"x3.5" chrome tips (already done).
40.00- dynomax bullet.
30.00- remove resonator and install bullet.

Total-170.00, seems pretty reasonable for a good sound.

Of course with the xpipe, yours will have a different sound. Try to post clips if possible, I'm very interested to hear your setup.
