Thanks for chiming in on the question. Who ever buys it can use the extra 50 for the first tank of gas after applying the tune.

I used this primarily to reduce the throttle by wire lag but I did enjoy an increase in gas mileage to the tune of a solid extra 3mpg that was city/hwy average. I seen an increase of just over 4 hwy.

There is a specific calibration on your car which will not allot this guy's tunes to work on your car. For one his is a different generation LS which has allot of changes in the tuning, and also he has a V6 and you have the V8. The Xcal flash device itself will work for your car but you will have to get your own tunes from an SCT tuner of your choice. The tune packages go for $50 per tune and up to $140-$150 for a 3 tune package for your car.

What he's saying is that the XCAL2 unit will work as far as interfacing with the car, you will just need to get your own tunes that match the strategy code of your car. The tunes already on this unit will not work.

I bought my XCAL used from someone on here, emailed Torrie with the info he needed and voila! 3 tunes for me to play with!
