XX pipe install & muffler need help asap

That's what I thought, but I just now realized... That's Rich in the photo.

How do rear brakes just "lock up"? I'd say more like the diff exploded, locking up the ring and pinion.

dunno. happened to my brother's car though. he was able to drive around all the big obstacles though. ended up in a ditch.

i did rebuild the calipers on the car, and pulled out some really stiff seals. tire marks looked like the caliper on one side didn't release, making the efforts of the abs totally useless, and rotated the car.

That's why its important to change brake fluid once a year or 12k, its hard for most people to immagine that the way a brake system works, is also the reason they fail

AND I WAS DOING 45MPH FOR THOSE ASKING. BACK TIRES LOCKED UP ON S CURVE OFF RAMP BACK SLID AROUND AND HIT PALM TREE RIGHT AT TRUNK
AND REAR TIRE.45 SIR THATS IT RUSH HOUR CAR IN FRONT AND BEHIND, NO IDEA HOW TIRES LOCKED UP WITH ABS TOO MANY PEOPLE WITH HANDS ON CAR.WALKED (ROLLED) AWAY WITHOUT A SCRATCH.TREES WERE ROYAL PALMS PLACED ABOUT 2' APART, NO WAY TO AVOID.THE REAR SKID MARKS COMING AROUND FRONT WERE IN LIKE 12" PATCHES WITH 6" BETWEEN PATCHES. AND WHOS BOB? MY NAME IS JASON? AND I KNOW MY CAP LOCK IS STUCK.

Well man, by your own account, you are a speed freak. I have wrecked some chit going pretty damn fast into some big trees and my car wasn't that fvcked up. So I just assumed you were hauling ass. Sorry, you just have a cloud of :q:q:q:q that hangs over you. I know because I have one too. But yours is way worse than mine. In a way, you are medicine for my depression.

BoB -Black on Black

oh yea, duh! philly the trunk is probably the weakest point on the car and if anybody has put their hands around part of the body then you know how flimsy it is. the drivers door all the way around to the trunk on the other side looks normal, except for the glass, got 2 headlights and the doorpanels in better than good condition one headlight lens is cracked, lms mass air. i may still have one chance to have car stripped. the question is if i spend the money now. aside from the tranny which is brand new, i want the headers, and coil overs but can buy next year when im done building c motor that i have all the parts for except the shortblock which ill have if i strip it. this guy does work in his driveway so do i pay now to strip or just wait a year when all is saved to do it right.

The trunk is the strongest part of the body, but you didn't hit the trunk, you hit the 1/4 panel

how can the trunk be the strongest part? its an empty hole, but the two guys that saw it both said it was the weak point and im just using the logic that its an empty space. i could be wrong but from being in the car and watching the hit as i spun and was sliding the original point of impact was behind rear tire, but calculate the spin and rear to foward slide ended up at over tire to quarterpanel.and yes by my own account i am a speed freak but on an off ramp between two cars. im still baffled as to why rear tires locked up. and it wasnt rear end failure because there were front brake tire marks as well, i thought the same for a minute but there was no reason for rear to lock. the guy behind me was as confused as i am. the city is now trying to bill my insurance for a royal queen palm tree like $5,000! mom runs a landscape architect co might work a deal.

Happy you are okay....

Sucks on several fronts including the loss of the car, and that it looks like it's headed to the yard with all those good parts.

Because of its double dome shape, its domed upwards, and outwards, the toughest point is the cars 6 o'clock .. ask Laser who's been rear-ended more than anyone I know, or Jamie who parked the front wheel of his monster truck on the trunk deck

Unfortunately these cars weakest points are the sides, but I'm quite sure that all doesn't matter when you involve trees at 45. An immovable object is what it is, and your car was the weakest link in the equasion, just glad you're ok

well so it was the weakest point. the side at the wheel. thats probably what saved it and me , the wheel and axle to diff assembly if you look at the wreck the rear tire is bent at a 45 deg to the body, looks like its turning right.you know, since hurricane andrew when i worked as an iron worker we had so many cranes we were contracted to cut away any /all debris away from power lines and the bucket with me in it came apart ffrom the crane and i fell just less than 50' with a 36" stihl chainsaw at full speed and walked away. a few yers later helping a friend move i was sitting in a couch in the back of a pickup just going around 2 blocks to his new house when someone ran out in front of us we t boned them catapaulting me onto the hood, skipping actually then onto the asphault, just a few scratches. then a few years later engaging a bunch of crack dealers hanging out under my big ficus was attacked, kicked the pistol out of ones hand the bullet skipping off ground into forearm and still disarmed and held the three of them for police. had a friend pullout of a stop sign in 2000 while someone ran it at the 4 way slamming into my door, just breaking my leg and another concussion, then the motorcycle accident paralyzing me on my birthday dec 2010 now this. ive either had a streak of bad luck or been blessed. i would have said blessed until being paralyzed its taken alot to begin to deal with that ,let alone the cover up that ensued and is still going on. but any of you that are religious as I and have been seriously tested recall Phillipians 3:12-14. i press on.
