    pie adapter 12v source

where did you guys who have successfully installed the pie adapter part #FRDN-AUX tie in the gray with purple stripe +12VDC battery memory source wire? The instructions say to locate it on the factory 16-pin connector but I would like some more detailed instructions than that. thanks for any...

    Window leak

drain tubes The drain tubes are on all four corners of the moonroof and are more readily seen and accessible with the headliner down. There should be a small black plastic nipple coming off the moonroof on each corner that the tube attaches onto and then routes down inside the a-pillar on the...

    This is driving me NUTS!

I would definitely have them replace the wheels and tires from a NEW ls and test it. at least this would rule out the possibility of bent wheels. I had the same symptoms and the dealership did this for me. With the new wheels and tires there was no nibble so I know now my problem is in the...

For those with a blue climate control bulb out

Wow, I forgot one HUGE detail! Once you've pinched the pins together a bit with the needle nose pliers and soldered the pins in place, DO NOT forget to spread the pins apart again. Do this slowly so you don't break the solder. I would hope anyone doing this would have thought of this anyway...

For those with a blue climate control bulb out

here's what I did Anyone who does this please be aware that you MUST be comfortable with soldering and desoldering on a circuit board before you attempt this. Please dont blame me if you end up frying your climate control unit. I just did this a couple days ago so I have no clue what the long...

    Heated Seats

probably heating element If you have the service manual, there are a whole bunch of electrical tests you can do to isolate where the problem is as long as you are comfortable with working with a multimeter. I did this and my situation was exactly like yours in that it was only the drivers side...

For those with a blue climate control bulb out

So, being kind of anal about my ls, it really bothered me to have both of my blue climate control bulbs out on the cold portion of the temp selector. I tried getting a replacement bulb from lincoln but no luck from any of the dealerships. They all said that they dont have a replacement bulb...

    Weather strip

windshield molding I'm not sure what kind of noise you are experiencing but my windshield drip molding on the drivers side had come loose also and was making a tapping noise at highway speeds. I tried epoxy on it but the wind just pulled it apart so I replaced it with a new one. It was about...

    blue climate control bulb type

Like many others, both bulbs on my climate control unit that are under the cold portion of the temperature selector are out. From what I've read on this post, it seems that lincoln would have you buy a new $400 something dollar climate control unit to fix this rather than providing a...

    Leaking!!!!

another tip: I think the best access I had to the tubes was by standing outside the car and working through the sunroof with the headliner down a little.

    Leaking!!!!

all the pillar trim just pulls off. be careful though because like every other plastic piece these can be easily broken. I was fortunate enough not to break anything along the way. the grips have screws on each end covered up with a trim piece that you need to CAREFULLY pry down. it's easy to...

    Stabilizer bar replacement

step by step guide Wow, this is not a job for the faint of heart. First off, the new stabilizer bar comes with the bushings already attached. So After hours of laying under the car fighting to get the old bar out of there (believe me, it will NOT be easy to get out.) and after several fits of...

    Leaking!!!!

unclog or reconnect drain tubes. mine had the same problem. at first i thought it was a weatherstrip gone bad because the water would appear around the a pillar. upon further inspection, the drain tubes on all four corners of the sunroof had come off. not too difficult of a fix, but you have...

    front end popping

Ok, I just got back from a drive with the end links undone from the steering knuckle and the sway bar tied up and whammo the popping is gone. :Beer So now I am left wondering if the parts guy was right and I should get the new bar with the bushings already on it rather than getting new bushings...

    front end popping

I have the infamous front end popping noise happening mostly when lateral pressure is on the car such as in a turn. I got under the car and tried to pry up on the ball joint and there is no play at all. I tried lifting on the wheel and there is no play. strut mounts seem tight, so I think it...

    Bad ball joints?

when i make turns i get a clicking coming from the front of the car. i assume this is probably the bad ball joint issue. i called the mechanic for an estimate and he said the entire steering knuckle has to be replaced and that the ball joints cannot be replaced solely on this car. by the way...
