car is verrry slow to warm up, leaking from water pump weep passage. why so slow to warm up?
im fairly confident that I need to replace the water pump but im just trying to understand what exactly is going on.
for the record:
-thermostat is new
-the coolant outlet housing (the deal with...
So the gauge is accurate sometimes, then jumps way past full as far as the needle will go (WAY past full). The car has a around 3/4 tank and the sending unit (float) is good. I can test the resistance at the harness that comes out of the fuel pump / sending unit and it reads 14.5 ohms which is...
i bet.
this was one time where the manual lied. said to take it out the top but everyone on forums and whatnot said the bottom was easier. wish i did spend a couple hours tryna get it out the top first.
sht like this is the reason for tearing half a motor apart, putting it all back together and the new part u just put in doesnt work. guess it's every man for himself tho.
i take a realy good look at everything before i walk outa the parts store. if i dont like the way it looks i ask for...
i cant believe that in all that time, no one has bought it! i want it bad. im tryna think about how to sell mine and dive half way across the country...
yeah, holy sht. that's super rare. if i had had a bit more money when i bought mine, i woulda wanted this one instead. but i like my 2nd gen.
look at the pictures. the license plate even says "LS5SPEED"
ahh, yes. i didnt think of that.
favorite gauge ive ever owned.

while no gauge in this price range is super super "accurate", it is plenty "precise". gives consistent readings. anyway, i love it for several reasons.
-a lot of cheapo...
FINAL UPDATE:
k frick, idk, nvm.
its dark now, and about 10 deg cooler and sure enuf all the tires are 1 psi lower. but the fronts are still high. so i suppose the only explanation is that SOMEBODY MUST have added air to the tires after i did last month. and whatever jerkoff did so, did it...
k, for reference i just went out and checked the tire pressure on my lincoln.
earlier today i checked em cold and put em all at 36 psi. (i have lower profile tires on aftermarket 18 inch rims, tryna squeeze every ounce of fuel economy out of it and the tread is about done anyway)
i just got...
...well i know, and that's what i said.
and my point is that an increase of 11.5 psi seems unreasonable under normal conditions on a 10 mile highway drive with mild weather. if the air in the tires is say 50 deg and even if it heats up to say 100 (which i kinda doubt it does since i can...
has anyone every checked their tire pressure after a good drive on the highway? (i havent until today)
just last month i inflated all the tires to 32 psi.
today, on a whim i thought i'd check em warm while i was outside checking all the other vehicles with my new tire pressure gauge that im in...
im not exactly sure what you guys are talking about. im not talking about trouble codes. im talking about an OBD command that instructs the computer to run a series of test (that may then throw a trouble code). These codes would not otherwise show up without using the special functionality of a...
im curious who has replaced coils on the V6 and had them fail.
what brands and how long did they last?
i need to replace the 3 under my IM. everyone says "visteons, visteons." previous owner put three new BWD coils on from Oreilley Auto Parts. A year and a half later, 10k and going...
i have a OBDLink SX and ScanXL Pro from Scantools.net.
the software has a "terminal" for entering OBD instructions/requests/whatever and it's my understanding that there's simply a long string of characters required to initiate these self-tests.
a handheld scanner may come with this...
well i wish i woulda known before i mangled the old valve that it looks like ford will replace the PCV hose assembly for free up to 100k miles and 10 years. i wonder if this replacement involves this stupid elbow...
