Although replacing the head gasket is the correct way, I have used a headgasket fix that has worked quite well for me.
It's called Kseal and no I haven't used it on my Mark VIII but, my 4.3 C1500. I overheated the truck bad when the radiator blew out while driving on Rt78. So after I put in a...
I have done both of my second gen Marks uppers. The first I used a stubby ratchet and was able to loosen the drivers side without having to remove the Master Cylinder.
Second Mark I had loaned out the stubby wrench so I just loosened the Master Cylinder bolts and moved it to the side a bit to...
I used AC Delko units as the are beefy and have grease fittings.
So far no problems as the one with the sealed upper joint failed in a few thousand miles.
Lowers I ordered a set of Graphite impregnated units from Rock Auto and doesn't matter that I don't remember who the Manufacture is cause...
My last 2nd Gen had the studs on the drivers side rust and break. Tried to find if they were metric or what but, then just took my cordless to drill em out. Then put 2 bolts through the holes and put nuts on em. Simple enough and no tapping or worrying about anything else that way.
Had a 1996 that had the battery drain problem. It is a typical problem being the amplifier stays on and drains the battery. The amp is mounted under the rear package tray. Don't remember the tests to check it but, it will give you something to google search to get started.

Well I wound up replacing the second LCA ball that popped out on Friday drive home from work. Just picked it up from Pep Boys where I had the new 245/45/R17's mounted and an alignment done.
Seems to drive much nicer and averaged better MPG on the short trip home. Now tomorrow I need to do a...
Not that it is an upper class car or something but, everyday some guy parks his Camary in the Stork parking spot at the McDonalds that I stop at in the mornings.
3 Handicaps spot and Expectant mother spot (he takes that one) and then 7 spot after that but he can't be troubled to walk another 5...
